Introduction

Hello, my name is KingNashorYT (ingame) or just KingNashor!
MAIN: Yasuo [Level 7 - 184892 Mastery-Score]
RANK: ??? [MMR - ???]
SKIN: Love all Yasuo Skins [Favorite - High Noon]

Why are you making this guide? Especially for some friends, but anyone can use it! :)
Will it be updated regularly? Yes, I play League everyday and so my experience with Yasuo grows too. I will update this guide as often as I can!
What are your plans for Season 8? I'm trying to reach Platinum or Diamond this season! :)
Why should I play/main Yasuo? This is your decision, but if playing Yasuo is fun to you, you can and probably should start maining him. He's decent in pretty much every Meta - just like Riven - and one of the greatest Solo-Queue and carry-champions. If you can master combos and stuff like that, climbing should really be not that big of a problem (at least if you play well overall).

Combos

Here I will explain all the important Yasuo combos you can do at the moment. I will also give you a difficulty-rating, but everybody has his own playstyle so feel free to correct me on the difficulty. By the way: "Q²" or "Q³" describes if it's the 2nd or the 3rd Q. For the 1st Q I just write "Q"!

1st combo [E + Q] - DIFFICULTY: 1 / 10
This is a pretty easy to do combo. Just dash through an enemy with your E and press Q while it's in progress. If you have your third Q ready, this will also knock up the enemies hit and it's great for a fast-ult combo.
+ OR OR ___________________________________________________________________________________________

2nd combo [Q³ + E + Q + R + Q²] - DIFFICULTY: 7 / 10
This is probably one of the hardest combos to do with Yasuo. If you're a beginner on Yasuo I wouldn't recommend even trying this, if the situation could get close. So, let me explain how it works. You load up your Q until your Steel Tempest (3rd Q) is ready. You fire it and hit an enemy. You dash through a minion, a monster or anything and do the 1st combo. So you E through an enemy unit and let your Q strike in a circle. Then you instantly ult to transfer the damage from the location you dashed through something to the location of your airborned target you ulted. If a good Yasuo (that knows this technique) realizes he can fight, but it might get close, he will 100% do or at least try this. If your Q is guaranteed to crit, the extra damage you can put out with this in a short period of time is amazing. It really is, trust me. After your Ult is finished you will even have your 2nd Q ready, to deal even more damage and if the fight continues you have your Steel Tempest one stack earlier. So the way the coding works is: You dash through a minion and the damage from your Q is dealt around your Champion (whereever he is) and isn't dealt around the area you Q in. And that's the reason this whole thing works.
[This combo is called an "AIRBLADE"]

3rd combo [Q³ + E + Flash + R] - DIFFICULTY: 8 / 10
This combo is even harder to do than the 2nd one. Let me explain to you how it works: You have to have your 3rd Q and your Ult ready. Dash through a minion, cast your Q normally and then instantly Flash to the Champion you want to Ult. The way it works is similar to the way the 2nd combo works, at least when you look at the coding that allows it. It can be great to catch your enemies off guard, especially when they think they're safe, because you cant reach them with your E + Q combo. It's very hard to pull off, if you're not used to it. That's why I rated it 8 / 10!
[This combo is called a "BEYBLADE"]
+ + ___________________________________________________________________________________________

4th combo [E + Q³ + Flash + E + Q + R + Q²] - DIFFICULTY: 10 / 10
This is - by far - the hardest combo to do with Yasuo! Even really good, well trained Yasuo players fail this combo sometimes. This is absolutely not made for beginners on Yasuo and should by practiced in custom or coop-games! The mechanic is the following: You have your 3rd Q, your Ult and your Flash ready. You engage and dash through a minion or a champion. While your E is in progress, cast your 3rd Q and Flash onto the enemy / enemies, you want to hit. While they're airborned, dash through something again and cast your 1st Q and Ult while this is in progress, so the damage is transferred to the location you ulted to. After that you have your 2nd Q up and running, ready to do another combo and have your Steel Tempest one stack earlier.
[This combo is called a "KEYBLADE"]
+ + + + ___________________________________________________________________________________________

5th combo [Q³ + W] - DIFFICULTY: 4 / 10
This combo is not that hard to pull off and doen't even find that much use either. It's used to hide the animation of your Q, mostly for your 3rd Q, because it has such a long range. You have to waste your Windwall (which has a fairly high cooldown), but if you play against something like an unranged assassin like Talon, you can play safe even without having your W ready to block him. For the combo to work, you have to press W but then instantly cast your Q afterwards. It's kinda hard to pull off in some fights, that's why its rating is 4 / 10!

Items

Dead Man's Plate

Dead Man's Plate is a great choice when you need some Armor against AD-heavy teams and also when you need a little bit of out of combat-movespeed. You have to decide whether or not you need Quicksilver Sash, which I would recommend overthinking well. Because Quicksilver Sash is the key to destroy Yasuo's worst fear: Targeted CC!
___________________________________________________________________________________________

Duskblade of Draktharr

Duskblade of Draktharr is pretty straight forward. It's an option but I can't really see it being more useful than other items on someone like Yasuo... at least for now.
___________________________________________________________________________________________

Edge of Night

Edge of Night is an item, I actually can't say much about. Not because I don't like it but rather because I didn't really build it yet, not on Yasuo at least. My experience from other champions I built it on is actually quite positive. It's an item that's pretty hard to time, if the enemy team doesn't always let you engage. The activating-time is pretty annoying but with the stats it gives, it's a pretty well designed item overall. If I would build it on Yasuo? Well, in some cases yes. But I think just because I'm more oldschool-orientated I'd probably take Quicksilver Sash or something like this.
___________________________________________________________________________________________

Maw of Malmortius

Maw of Malmortius is pretty obvious, I think. You build it against AP-heavy teams. If you lane against something AP-heavy, just rush Hexdrinker before building Frozen Mallet (olschool build) or Infinity Edge (modern build).
___________________________________________________________________________________________

Mercurial Scimitar

Mercurial Scimitar is what you can build out of Quicksilver Sash. If you bought said item during the laning phase you have two options: Either you sell it for another item when you're almost full build OR you keep it and build Mercurial Scimitar out of it, which will most likely happen since you built Quicksilver Sash for a reason: Heavy CC!
___________________________________________________________________________________________

Sterak's Gage

Sterak's Gage can be useful against an enemy team that has a lot of bursts. Especially when you have a oneshot-champion against yourself in laning phase.
___________________________________________________________________________________________

Mortal Reminder

Mortal Reminder is what I'd recommend when playing against something like Vladimir, any Champion that gets his strength off of healing.
___________________________________________________________________________________________

Spirit Visage

Spirit Visage is pretty much the same as Hexdrinker. You got a team with a lot of AP against you, build this. The only difference is that this gives you no offensive stats at all, so build it only when you're losing or when you decide to go tanky for some reason.
___________________________________________________________________________________________

The Bloodthirster

Bloodthirster is a good choice for the later stages of the game. As with most of these items, there is not much to say about Bloodthirster... free healing, lots of damage - what more do you want?

Runes

Keystone
In my opinion, simply the best keystone for Yasuo. The three stacks are easy to get on your enemy (also through laning phase) and it just fits him best out of all the new keystones.

___________________________________________________________________________________________

Precision

Triumph - Helps in close fights when your enemy ignites you (example). It also gives you 25 extra Gold for each kill.
___________________________________________________________________________________________

Legend: Alacrity - This gives you additional attack speed which is, obviously, what you'd want on Yasuo.
___________________________________________________________________________________________

Coup de Grace - In my opinion, the best rune to choose from in this tier. Its effect is simple and useful in fights, nothing more to say.
___________________________________________________________________________________________

Domination

Zombie Ward - It's really good and simple too. This mastery raises a free ward for your team where you killed one or one of your wards expired. Free vision, free map control... as I said: Great overall!
___________________________________________________________________________________________

Cheap Shot - This makes enemies take a ton of true damage when their movement is impaired. So when you knock someone up or ult someone, they will die more quickly!
