This guide will consist of my all time favorite build on Zed, but first let me tell you a little bit of myself/this build.

Zed is one of my all time favorite champions and I have around 500+ games played as him spread over multiple accounts. Almost all Zed's follow a standard build focusing on armor pen, life steal and/or cooldown reduction but I'm here to show you one of my favorite builds on the Master of Shadow's!

Pros + Great sustainability. + Awesome wave clear. + Kill with ease! + Hard to kill.

Zedmain job is to assassinate the high value target. With this build it allows you to do more then just kill one then die. This build give's you the lifesteal to keep your health up when being focused down and attack speed to further increase your dps/lifesteal (the tenacity helps out quite a bit also.)This build is not for the first time Zed players though.

Cons - No armor penetration. - No health items. - Ignite/exhaust can easily destroy you. - If shutdown near useless.

This Zed build requires a lot of farm, knowledge of medium level mechanics and at least 40 years of experience to be played right (aka no farm, no kills, tunnel vision = worthless.) Can't destroy armor stacking champs easily and attack speed reduction can destroy you.

required for this Zed build and just Zed in general. Fury can be replaced with Sorcery but why not get attack speed Masteries on attack speed Zed? :)

Greater Quintessence of Attack Damage These help Zed get the amount of ad he needs to help out his early game damage.

Greater Mark of Attack Damage Also help Zed get the amount of ad he needs to poke down his enemy in lane.

Greater Seal of Armor Give's him some armor to make his attack damage opponent not two shot him.

Greater Glyph of Magic Resist This rune give's Zed some magic resist to help out against his AP opponent.

The bread and butter of saving your a** when your finger decides to ult under a turret. :)
Give Zed the ability to make his opponents look stupid, ever more-er!

Help's you finish off your target of the day without having to add that last painful auto attack.
Why auto attack when you can just spam laugh as their body explodes?
Would reccomend getting this spell.

Not that great of spell in my opinion but if you areplaying top lane Zed, great way to get free kills at bot.
Also, if you enjoy buying something then teleporting half wayacross the map before you kill someone (ult, teleport, ult back),not a bad summoner to mess with people's heads.
Pray they never fix that bug.

Contempt for the Weak When enemy's/minions get below 50% health Zed will do a percentage oh their health on his next auto attack with a 10 second cooldown. Allow's for quicker and smoother killing.

Razor Shuriken Zed throws a shuriken in a straight line dealing damage to enemies it passes through, throwing two shuriken's if living shadow is active. This is Zed main harassing tool in lane, allowing him to poke from afar but chunking them at the same time

Living Shadow This ability allow's Zed to duplicate his abilities and allow him to travel to his shadow. You may only travel to his shadow once so make sure you won't get yourself killed by doing so! Used for poking and/or getting closer to the enemy.

Shadow Slash This is an aoe slow that can also be duplicated by your shadow (also lowers cooldown of Living Shadow if it hits an enemy champion). Use this to get closer to your enemies or for some bit of damage.

Death Mark Using your ult travels you to enemy champion leaving a shadow where you originally started and adding a mark that detonates after 3 seconds. Use this ability to either get away or for damage amplification.

One of my favorite boot's on Zed, giving him cooldown reduction to use his ability's quicker to either escape or maybe get that pentakill you've always wanted.

My second choice of boot's on Zed allowing him the ability to get where he need's quicker and faster, further increasing his roaming potential.

This is one of the items that makes this build unique, the reason zephyr even exists. This item allows him to deal damage to more then one enemy at a time while getting a considerable amount of attack damage to go with it.

This item give's Zed more lifesteal and attack speed, allowing him to be able to dish out damage and/or keep his health up. The passive also proc's with his ultimate further increasing his mark damage.

Give's Zed attack speed to further improve his dps (overkill on the attack speed or not)and to further his improve his capabilities of life stealing his way through the fight. The tenacity is a great way to reduce the stun/slow/etc, to be able to either get back in the fight or survive.

Guardian Angel give's Zed the armor and magic resist he so desperately need's since this build sacrifices health for attack speed. The Guardian Angel also helps give Zed the chance of redeeming himself when he get's focused down, which can easily turn the fight back into your favor.

Mercurial Scimitar is generally not built on a majority of champion's besides attack damage carry's but Zed can utilize this item well against hard cc champion's and/or ability power heavy team's. This movement speed active/passive can also allow for faster, easier escapes.

A very costly item but is known for saving your life. Great against heavy ability power team's. This item work's well with this build for the unique passive, allowing you to lifesteal even more when your health bar get's low. Great item to replace Guardian Angel when the passive is down.

Another great item for attack damage heavy team's, the health is also greatly appreciated on Zed. The attack speed reduction/movement speed slow passive also work's wonder's when trying to take out that pesky attack damage carry. The active also works well with Zed Shadow Slash allowing for slows-for-days. No kiting Zed today!

Bloodthirster works well when backdooring or just simply farming (I prefer you to farm champions as much as you do minions). Give's you the attack damage and lifesteal you need to you to either sustain or kill.

Black Cleaver synergize's well with Zed or any Zed build out there! Are you playing tank Zed? Have some more health and damage to your kit. Attack damage Zed? Health, armor penetration, and attack damage? You know you wanna replace something with this. How about ability power Zed? No need to build this item, you don't even need to play this game!

Zhonya's Hourglass is a great item replacement item on Zed. This item allows you to use your whole combo on the enemy then watch in golden-mode as their HP dissappears right in front of your eyes.

One of the least bought trinkets in the game but can help you destroy the pesky enemy's who like to run in and out of bushes. This trinket also allows you to get vision on an enemy so that you may ult and kill with ease.

Farming on Zed is relatively simple with his passive. In lane it's best to just use your Razor Shuriken and auto attacks for farming, to not only save your cooldown's but to also save your energy just in case of escaping or attempting to kill said champion. For maximum lane pushing, throw out your Living Shadow behind the third melee minion then use Razor Shuriken while trying to hit all minions possible. Finish the wave off with Ravenous Hydra or Shadow Slash.

In teamfight's, Zed main job is to eliminate the enemy team's high valued target, try to use Death Mark as soon as the fight began's. After doing so, make sure to use all of your active's and abilities on the marked champion to maximize the death mark damage. If done right the enemy should be dead and you should be alive, feel free to target the next high priority target or peel for your carry. If the fight went into your favor you should be able to push objectives to your heart's content.
