Runes

Aftershock and Bone Plating The one and only, it will help you survive the most ROUGHEST of beatings, your entire roll after laning phase, is to become the best initiator there is, they will really FEAR you.

º Second Wind if you're not confortable on using Bountiful Harvest as your main sustain.
º Overgrowth To feed your Aftershock damage, getting tankier is always welcomed.

On Secondary path, you can choose, between Sorcery The Ultimate Hat and Transcendence you will have your ultimate faster with this.
Or Inspiration, with Perfect Timing for an early play with your Stopwatch and Future's Market if you need that extra control ward on point, but honestly... I'll recommend going for Sorcery, you can really feel that short ultimate cooldown.

Small Update: Since the buff on Fiddlestick's ultimate cooldown, a fully stacked Ultimate Hat with Transcendence, and the proper itemization of Zhonya's Hourglass + Eye of the Watchers + Zeke's Convergence CDR will left your ultimate on a whooping 40 seconds cooldown!

How to, and why tho.

On advance: My English Sucks, so BEAR with me.

Greetings you beautiful people of the Rift, I bring to you a simple, yet effective way of dealing with bronze, silver and even gold levels.

I guarantee you, this guide contains a LOT of fun, you'll still be useful to your entire team, even becoming the best initiator there is to offer.

Laning phase:

There's something that bothers me a lot when it comes to laning phase. Everytime I see an opposite fiddle, they ALWAYS try to land an E, directly, that leaves them open for an easy trade, or hell even death, don't do that, use the minion path, just wait patiently until your ADC last-hits one minion so you can fling that beautiful bouncing pigeon, see how it goes back and forth, hitting the opposite ADC and/or support, forcing them to play in a safe position rather than trying to get closer to their minion wave.

However, they grow restless and WILL come closer regardless, always try to quickly fling your majestic floober bird as soon as the next wave appears in a line, this way, it ensures your E traveling range to reach even further back, hitting your opponents that may, or may not be behind their wave, it also capitalizes on the lack of fog of war, they simply don't see it coming, and if they do it's already too late to get away from it, just maddening love.

Disclaimer: You're going to accidentally steal a few minions, just saying, it happens, you can't remotely control the bouncing hell, just keep on playing, if possible stay in lane for as long as you can, you need that 6 super fast, if your ADC recalled and is on it's way, take the chance to farm some minions by playing safe near your turret, if they dive, show them your fear power, I guarantee you, one will die.
You're going to shove that lane so hard with your ADC, it is impossible not to. Also ban Blitzcrank/Thresh... trust me, just do it, believe in your own skills, and try to make it easier for your ADC, no hooks - no problems.

DING! Level 6!

Here's when the badassery takes places. Early on, no one expects the sudden CAW CAW daddy teleporting out of the bushes, flash only serves as an escape early on and situational if you're alone and need to escape, but once you're 6? that flash is your extra boost, remember your job is to incapacitate or even murder the ADC, or any heavy damage dealer, such as the mid lane. Lock and Load, in this case unload.

¿Why Aftershock? wtf, reported.

Aftershock grants an extra boost of armor after you use your fear (Granted, you'll have it activated after using your R to maximize it's co-efficiency, be closer to your target, so it can deal the shock's damage added to your ultimate and ignite)

In other words, any incoming damage that could possibly one-shot you, you'll mitigate it with Aftershock and Bone Plating, remember, Fiddlesticks is fragile, you're of no use dead, that's why you will get the extra defensive power to help you reposition near of anyone who will attempt to flash away from your ult, or simply Dash/Leap out of daddy's grasp once your fear ends, fling your bird, and use that puny lvl 1 drain, everything counts.

The higher level your fear, the more damage output from you and your ADC/Team will be applied, drain is only used for sustain and tanking early dragons, not to mention, it deals damage once it explodes, not only you're going to be ON your target, but also becoming a nuisance to kill.

Did you utilized everything in your arsenal? that's where your Zhonyas come in place, giving you time to wait for your team or cooldowns for a well applied fear, when you leave your stasis, the passive will activate, giving you a DRASTIC escape. Trust me they're going to hate your dog.

Items that will feed your Aftershock's damage:

º Eye of the Watchers (Grants both, health and AP)
º Haunting Guise (Same as Eye of the Watchers.)
º Void Staff and Zhonya's Hourglass: (AP, I haven't tested if magic penetration actually increases aftershock's damage, I do know it proces Liandry's Torment DoT to anyone afflicted by it, please confirm if MagicPen works on this keystone.)

Real usage of Zhonyas

Zhonyas, is only to be used once you're in absolute danger, and near your team, for example:

- I throw my R and Fear on my desired target even if it's surrounded by their team.
- My team follows up. (Hopefully your's will...)
- They see me getting beat the **** out, then DING, Zhonyas when you're on the verge of death, not while you're on your ultimate with full or half HP (cause they're gonna move out of the radius, dealing no important damage, do not worry about dying, with the itemization and runes you should be able to handle any important burst, do not be afraid of going ham, that's your job afterall.)
- Profit!

People get blinded when seeing a fiddlesticks with literally 100 HP left on stasis, that's why you gotta wait and bait them into your ultimate a little longer.

They tend to wait your Crowstorm duration for the kill, and throw important cooldowns in order to stop or kill you. Little they know you're a literal walking melting rock of crows, they simply forget your team is beating the living hell out of them from behind, but once your stasis finishes, you'll be either safe with every opponent dead or dead yourself, with same results, don't forget to write WORTH, everytime.

Zeke's Convergence ? Gi Gi, and overall wrap up.

Zeke will grant you even MORE armor to survive the onslaught, so it's always welcomed, but REMEMBER you HAVE to use it's activable before using your R, the slow it provides can cover up as a mini Rylai's Crystal Scepter plus the more you stay slowing people with it, the second inferno activation will go through, that means an extra 40 damage per second added to your ultimate.

This item goes PERFECTLY! with Kai'Sa, as she will deal an extra 50% magic damage added to EVERY skill and auto-attacks, including her passive, a torched Yasuo with Seke's buff can deal several damage as well, the damage will be counted as your's at the end of the match, so... there's that, check how much damage the item dealt by hovering your mouse over it.

Zeke's also will help you to reach the 40% CDR cap, and extra mana for your devilish doings.

º We will take a closer look at our arsenal, you only need to survive the incoming damage after using R, there's a big chance people may try to shut you down as quickly as possible, but it's gonna be impossible. Add every item damage as a bonus to take into consideration, Zeke's Convergence Inferno / Slow (Which will activate Liandry's Torment burn, removing the need of buying a Rylai's Crystal Scepter) + Your R + Aftershock DMG + Ignite = Pure mixed love.

Zhonya's armor, HP/AP items, Zeke's and to top it all, the burst of armor from Aftershock and Bone Plating will turn you into a perfect initiator. You can re-position all you want and make as many mistakes, opposite of how a fully AP fiddle could. There's no way you'll survive long enough to re-position yourself and take fully advantage of your ultimate to lock down on your desired target. Otherwise just play Fiddle mid... lol.
