Why Skarner Support?
Skarner is seen as an undying frontline jungler, however his AOE based kit lends itself to supportive capabilities. The main reason he works as a support is his unreliance on gold as well as build flexibility. Furthermore his poke is very safe and he can guard the ADC very well.
As such, play similar to:
Camille and her ability to carry early game fights
Poppy and her disengage-heavy nature
Bard and his roaming threat
Taric and his playstyle of staying in fights to the very end
Skarner may seem like quite a dull tank at a first glance, but his kit actually lends him the ability to cook up some very fun and effective playstyles, while abusing his very strong early game kit.
As such, play similar to:

Understanding the Charge
Skarner's charge shares similar properties to Nunu & Willump, particularly in regards to it's turn rate. The longer you rush in a straight line, the harder it will be to turn with the enemy, whereas if you grab them from on top, you can spin them in a circle. However, the duration for which they are brought along with Skarner after the hit is entirely consistent. As such, hitting a person can end your charge prematurely or extend it, depending on when you hit them.

This guide only exists because a friend dared/asked me to come up with a build for Skarner that is at least a little more fun than standing still in jungle and waiting for people to deal enough to damage to eventually kill you lol
