Hello everyone! Welcome to Viego guide for newbies! I am ok0goi, someone with a mastery 7 on viego. This guide should help you learn the champion, and have fun with him too.

Weak to CC, as well as high burst


Viego himself is a very versitile champion, with his main attraction being his passive, which allows him to to transform into any champion he has killed/assisted in the last 3 seconds, while healing a nice percentage of his health as well. Combining it with triumph, he can basically heal about 14% of his health whenever he transforms into a different champion. This can make for many different outplays, as well as shwoing how downright busted this champ can be.


When should you pick viego in a game?
-Your team has at least 1 mage
-Your team needs a fighter/assassin
-Your team is looking for skirmishes and fights
-Anytime actually.
-Not too bad as a first pick

Normal trade: Q - auto
This will help u stack up your Conquerer fast. (6 conq stacks)

Go in trade: W-auto-Q-auto
This combo will stun the enemy laner, allowing to get an easy auto-q-auto cancel
This will let u begin an long trade, with 12 conquerer stacks, and then you can use your e for the bonus attack speed, and deal huge amounts of damage

Lane sustain: Q auto minions
hit 3 minions with your Q, and then auto them seperately. This will allow you to get the maximum amount of healing you can get from your minions, keeping u healthy in lane while also not messing up your minion wave too much.

Transform- Spam abilities- R- Spam abilities
Kill a man, then kill his family too.

W-flash
Hold your W, and then flash towards the enemy, then letting go of your W.
As your W has a slow projectile speed, and can be blocked by minions. Enemies can easily look to dodge it, and punishing you for it as well since you move forward doing it.
W from a futhur distance to make the enemy think that they are safe, before flashing in to get a jump on them. You can then proceed to all in them
Note: Do this only when you are quite sure that they will die, or at least get pressured out of lane by it.

There are two jungle clears that i would recommend on viego, and both are 5 camp clears

1. Red -- Krugs (Smite first big Krug) -- Raptors -- Wolves -- Blue Buff -- Scuttle crab (smite to secure)

2. Blue -- Gromp (Smite) -- Wolves -- raptors -- red buff -- Scuttle crab (Smite)

Take note of enemy jungler. If he started the same side as you (E.G if you start red and he starts blue) go for double scuttle crab, and make his life miserable, then look for a gank

If enemy starts opposite side of you, after taking scuttle, you can choose to go top river and fight him there (if he is still there), look for a gank on one of the lanes (if they are shoved in) or else just place a ward in their jg, then do your gromp and recall.

Look to farm up and gank as often. Viego's clear is of decentspeed, so he can farm fast while also ganking lanes, making him seem like he is everywhere.



*When Ganking Lanes*
Use your E as you are entering the lane, near the wall
Do not use your e too early, otherwise enemy will be notifed of your prescence and just back
Position yourself in between the enemy and their tower if possible
Sometimes, its better to gap close instead of charging your W early. You can use this gap close to bait their flash, and then W them
If the enemy dies under tower, and you have tower aggro, DO NOT CLICK ON ENEMIES BODIES.

Viego mid is great as he has an insanely high amount of sustain, and can still take on most mid Laner. The one tip to keeping sustain can be seen above in basic combos.

In the early game, although your all in potential is not the best, you can look for insane harrass. This is due to the long range of your auto attacks, as well as your Q, which has a notoriously long range as well.

If playing against mages and any adc that is in your lane for some reason, use your q to farm up minions and not look for that many trades, until lvl 3

Lvl 2 can be considered a powerspike for some mages, if they are in range of your w, but otherwise would not pose too much threat.

lvl 3 is where you can look to play slightly more aggressively. with both Your W to stun and E to gain movement and attack speed, while also camouflaging, you can poke them while staying in your W, untargetable by their abilities. You can also charge your W inside your E and surprise them with it.

Lvl6 is another huge powerspike. Your ultimate can be used in many different ways. Most efficient being as a gap closer and as a finisher.
Viego does not have the best chasing power (When his E is taken awaY), and when that happens, you can simply just Ulti onto them, slowing them by 40%. This can allow you to easily land your W-auto-Q-auto combo, and quickly take the all in fights
