Please don't down-vote because its not done, I did say WIP!

Sorry for not updating this guide in forever, I'm currently working on an update, so stay tuned.

This guide was created after the 3.10 rework, so no worries, all up to date.

All the item purchases for my builds are in order of buying priority.

Each build will have its own mini-guide here, check the table of contents for help locating the one you want.

Unless said otherwise, all builds are geared for any lane, however, I usually play top, and sometimes bottom, but I have played middle with good results.

0.1 Intro to Yi

Master Yi is a melee assassin and duelist, specializing in crazy fast hitting and chasing his enemies to the ground. Master Yi has immense sustain from his W, Meditate, and is very good at chasing his opponents because of his Q, Alpha Strike, and his ultimate, Highlander, which also gives a big boost to his attack speed at the same time as movement speed. Master Yi is also graced with being good at taking down heavily armored targets, because his E, Wuju Style, deals true damage when activated, and true damage bypasses armor and magic resist, making tanks cry!


Master Yi's passive. Every 4th basic attack, within 4 seconds of the last, hits twice, doing 50% damage, applying on-hit effects, and calculating crit separately from the first hit

Master Yi's Q. Master Yi becomes un-targetable and quickly jumps between up to 4 targets, prioritizing the closest to the unit he activated on. Master Yi then reappears at the unit that Alpha Strike was activated on, or, if the unit was killed by something else, he reappears at his original position. Deals 25/60/95/130/165 (+100% AD) physical damage. Also does 75/100/125/150/175 bonus damage to monsters and minions. Alpha Strike's cooldown is reduced by 1 for every basic attack.

Master Yi's W. Master Yi channels for 4 seconds or until he gets a command, restoring 30/50/90/110 (+30% AP) health per second. The amount healed is increased by 1% for every 1% of health missing. Master Yi also gets a 40/45/50/55/60% damage reduction during the channel, the reduction is halved against turrets.

Master Yi's E. Passively grants a 7/9/11/13/15% AD bonus which is disabled when the active part of Wuju Style is on cooldown. Can be activated so that every basic attack deals 10/25/20/25/30 (+10/12.5/15/17.5/20% AD) bonus true damage.

Master Yi's ultimate. Passivly causes champion kills to reduce the cooldowns of Master Yi's other abilities by 18 seconds, champion assists reduce them by 9 seconds. Can be activated to increase Master Yi's movement speed by 25/35/45% and his attack speed by 30/55/80% for 10 seconds. While Highlander is active, champion kills and assists increase its duration by 4 seconds.

1.0 Neo build intro

The build I have dubbed "Neo" is the one that I usually play. Fully fledged, it has incredible burst and sustain potential, but the hardest part is getting good enough to double gank when they are both higher level then you (did happen, but was kind of a fluke :D).

SPAC Pros:
+Ridiculously high AD
+Amazing burst
+Crazy sustain with lifesteal
+Good critical chance
+Good CC with statikk shiv
+Very fast

SPAC Cons:
-Super squishy
-Can easily be tag-teamed
-Doesn't like hard CC
-Gets mana screwed

2.0 Critical Psychopath build intro

The build I call "Critical Psychopath" is one I've started to play more and more lately. Critical Psychopath focuses on having extreme critical chance and extra critical damage, enabling Master Yi to kill most champions in 5 seconds or less.

SPAC Pros:
+Crits allow it to kill anyone
+Amazing burst (crits!)
+Amazing attack speed
+300% crit damage (with runes)
+Good CC with statikk shiv
+Very fast

SPAC Cons:
-Really low sustain
-Super squishy
-Can be killed by 3 enemies
-Doesn't like hard CC
-Gets mana screwed
