Introduction

Passive: - Xin Zhao restores 30 health for every 3 attacks that he lands. This amount increases by 5 every 2 levels.

Very useful when staying in lane, because of the healing you can stay in lane much longer.

- Xin Zhao's next 3 standard attacks deal increased damage, with the third attack knocking an opponent into the air.
Xin Zhao prepares to unleash a fearsome combo, causing his next 3 standard attacks to deal 15/30/45/60/75 (+) physical damage, with the final attack knocking his opponent into the air.
Cost
30/30/30/30/30 Mana
Range
375

This skill is really powerful, not only because of the huge bonus damage but also because your 3rd attack will give the opponent a Knocked Airborne status (in which you can easely finish him of or stop him from running).

- Xin Zhao passively increases his attack speed and can activate this ability to further increase attack speed and lower his ability cooldowns with each attack.
Passive: Increases Xin Zhao's attack speed by 15/20/25/30/35%.

Active: Xin Zhao unleashes a battle cry, increasing his attack speed by double the passive amount for 7 seconds, and causing his standard attacks to reduce all other ability cooldowns by 1 second.

Activating this ability removes the passive bonus until this ability refreshes.
Cost
35/35/35/35/35 Mana
Range
20

I really love this skill, mostly because of the passive attackspeed bonus, but the active is also really useful when ganking.

- Xin Zhao charges an enemy, dealing damage and slowing it and all other enemies in the area.
Xin Zhao charges an enemy unit, dealing 70/110/150/190/230 (+0.4) magic damage to all nearby enemies and slowing them by 20/25/30/35/40% for 1.7 seconds.
Cost
70/70/70/70/70 Mana
Range
650

This is your primary ganking/chasing skill, it deals quite a lot of damage and it slows the opponent for a significant amount for a short duration. The slow's duration is enough to use your [ -> -> -> combo.

- Xin Zhao fiercely sweeps his spear around him, dealing damage to nearby enemies based on their current health.
Xin Zhao unleashes a fierce spear sweep on targets around him, dealing 125/225/325 + 20/20/20% of their current health in physical damage. His magic resistance and armor are increased by 30/40/50 for the next 8 seconds.
Cost
100/100/100 Mana
Range
20

Just a great damage skill, even against tanks.Note: Crescent sweep deals damage to all enemy unit AROUND Xin Zhao, so it is useful in teamfights.

Summoner Spells

I start off with Dagger (in order to get your passive faster) and a health potion. I try to get as soon as possible (they are useful because of the 35% crowd-control-effect reduction).

Runes

Greater Mark of DesolationGreater Mark of Desolation: +1.66 armor penetration
Greater Seal of Strength: +0.43 attack damage
Greater Glyph of Strength: +0.28 attack damage
Greater Quintessence of DesolationGreater Quintessence of Desolation: +3.33 armor penetration

These runes are mostly based on giving you a greater damage output.
It might look like not much, but it can give you just that little more damage that is needed to kill someone.

Items

I start off with Dagger (in order to get your passive faster) and a health potion. I try to buy the ( Mercury's Treads: +25 Magic Resist UNIQUE Passive: Enhanced Movement 2 Reduces the duration of stuns, slows, taunts, fears, snares, sleeps, and immobilizes by 35%.) as soon as possible, mostly because of the passive (which is really useful when Towerdiving).
Next up is (The Black Cleaver
+55 Attack Damage +30% Attack Speed UNIQUE Passive: Physical attacks reduce your target's Armor by 15 for 5 seconds (maximum 3 stacks).) because of the damage/attackspeed/passive this item just TOTALLY fits in this build.

After that i buy the (Infinity Edge: +75 Attack Damage +20% Critical Strike UNIQUE Passive: Critical hits now deal 250% damage instead of 200%.)

The Infinity Edge's damage and crit strike provinde great damage output, and it's passive gives you EVEN MORE damage!

Then i buy 2 (Phantom Dancer: +55% Attack Speed +30% Critical Strike +15% Movement Speed) because they not only give awesome attackspeed and critical strike chance, but also a great movementspeed bonus (which is really useful when chasing).

And last but not least: (The Bloodthirster: +60 Attack Damage +15% Lifesteal Passive: Gain an additional 1 Physical Damage and 0.25% Lifesteal per kill. Maximum of +40 Damage and 10% Lifesteal. Bonuses are lost upon death.)

Just look at the item, the damage/lifesteal and passive make it deadly in combination with the other items. (Just make sure to farm A LOT of minions)
