Early Game

Start your game with a Long sword And 3 Pots. Go back when you have at least 1225 gold to buy a Dirk, Boots, 2 more Pots and a Control Ward. If you are having a bad matchup ( Annie, Kayle, Lissandra etc ) try to farm with your q as much as possible and be aware for friendly ganks untill you hit level 6.

Mid Game

After you hit level 6 you should start roaming to Bot/Top to help out your teammates. Only do this if you are sure you WIN your lane. If you don't win your lane, only roam to the side lanes when you enemy laner does so.

Late game

In the late game on the Rift, Zed should focus on pikcing out squishy targets that are wandering in the jungle or splitpushing. Make sure you DO NOT get spotted by your enemies, otherwise they will flee and eventually bait you into death.

Teamfighting

Zed is very good in trading 1 for 1 in teamfights. You need to focus the ADC, assasinate it, and it is no problem if you die for that. If you are behind, DO THE SAME. This because you need to act as a threat ( you will become part of the frontline so the enemy team has to focus on you ).
