Threats & Synergies
You are his worst nightmare. If he traps you with his E you can use your W to escape. If you have your ult you can ult on him and kill him when he walks up to deal damage. Cleanse is useful but you can do just as well without it.
Watch for his empowered basic attacks. You can see what card he is going to use before he uses it. If he is using Blue or Red he's likely to use it on minions, if he pulls Yellow he wants to go for you. Once he uses his W you can go for him easily.
Lux only has two good spells for trading pre-6. Her only chance of beating you is to land her binding. If she misses that, punish her for it.
He has amazing waveclear which means he can punish your roams. Once he hits level 6 he can counter your ultimate with his own. If you hit level 6 first, try to kill him. Don't underestimate his silence when you go in.
Extremely low play rate, and it's a good thing. Her ult counters your ultimate, think of it like a Zhonya's that also damages you. She can also use it on you, which can actually be more dangerous in a teamfight.
Pyke is not a good midlaner. His ultimate is deadly but unless you overstay in lane or get ganked he will never be able to use it on you. He has CC, but if he pulls you towards him you and follows up with his stun dash you can just ult on him or W out.
Orianna wants to bully you out of lane, but you can bully her back. Don't overstay in lane, and don't underestimate her damage. Be extra sure that you can burst her down since she has a shield.
Garen is tanky and has loads of damage, meaning he can't be ignored. Zed likes not being the center of attention.
Karthus just doesn't have much to help you with. You aren't likely to let an enemy escape on low health so his ultimate is useless in regard to your lane, and he has no gank potential.
Really the most notable thing about Kennen is the amount of stuns this guy puts out. This is great, because if the enemy team is stunned they can't stun you.
Blitzcrank makes enemies be where they don't want to be. If he grabs a squishy, they're as good as dead. If he grabs a tanky champion, that's not as good, but it means there might be an exposed squishy where the tank was.
Decent tank. She can stun or displace enemy tanks with her dash or ult. If she knocks the enemy frontline away, use it to your advantage.
Ah yes, the little devil himself. He can't help you, unless the enemy targets him instead because they hate him so much.
Mordekaiser doesn't really work well with Zed compared to other champions. He doesn't have much hard CC, and he might want to ult the same champion you want to. This is okay until the moment the target of your ult just got sent to the Death Realm.
Nautilus has decent CC and engage, but aside from his ult and hook most of it doesn't prevent the enemy team from fighting back. He doesn't deal a lot of damage either so he's not super useful.
This can go really well or really terrible. A good Bard will stun enemies and use his ult on towers or the tanky enemies you want out of the way. A bad one will put their entire team in stasis along with you. If you're lucky your ult's shadow will still be there when the stasis runs out. If not...you'll learn how that goes. Also think first before following his Magical Journey.
Kindred is alright, but they don't have much to help you directly. They can be ignored in favor of focusing you without paying too much for it, and they don't have CC. The ult is nice though, but only if used right.
Don't underestimate Gnar. His mini form is useless, but when he goes Mega he goes from being ignored to the enemy's focus of attention. His Mega form is loaded with AOE stuns, and he can use his jump to bounce into the enemy team as he goes mega.
Very little CC, and he prefers to hang back. Not useful.
She's aggressive, she can go in as fast as you can and she's got CC and is extremely tanky. You can't ask for more.
Duo assassins are a little difficult since you both have the same job. Ekko does okay though.
Champion Build Guide
Good at bursting down squishies
Innate escape built into his all-in combo
Hard to gank
Energy instead of mana
Low CDs (Especially late game)
Can get kills in lane and make the game impossible to lose early
Difficult to learn
Especially reliant on using combos right
Experienced players can predict Zed
Ultimate reliant (To some extent)
Hard to use if behind
LVL 1: Farm and poke a little.
LVL 2: I usually add a point in W for extra safety/damage. Use your W to farm if the enemy is bullying you or for poke if they aren't.
LVL 3: Put a point in E,or W if you haven't already. Use your W-E-Q combo to harass the enemy laner every time they try to farm. If they get low enough swap places with your shadow after your combo lands to try to finish them off with your passive and ignite.
LVL 6: This is where you become a real threat. By now you should at least have a Serrated Dirk, this is extremely important, the extra lethality will ensure you get kills. If the enemy midlaner hasn't hit level 6 consider attacking them. You usually should. From this point onward you want to use your basic trading combo to kill your laner a few times, then look for a roam.
Roaming takes practice. If you've played jungle a lot you'll know when a lane is good for a roam. However, you want to push your lane as far up as you can before you leave lane. This will reduce the amount of CS lost while you're gone. Then you want a target. Usually this will be your bot lane, since top laners are typically too tanky, but there are some exceptions. Basically you want to avoid any wards either by walking around likely spots or with your Duskblade, then ult on the ADC and kill them. Their support will usually run for their tower if you succeed. If you can't reach the ADC, killing a squishy support can help your bot lane too. Assuming you succeed, you can then help them push to the tower or return to your own lane, potentially getting another kill if your laner is overextended. Remember that your jungler can help in this too! Few bot lanes can survive being ganked by two champions, and an overextended midlaner is just as likely to die.
