Teemo

Teemo is a great champion in the top lane (1 versus 1) environment because most champions up there are going to be melee bruisers. With that being said you're range from auto attacks and your poke from [[blinding dart]] is [b]devastating[/b] against anyone that isn't packing magic resistance. As for the build... I don't consider myself an expert on Teemo but I do play him quite a lot. Early game I like to pick up a [[phage]] for the attack damage and health on him. After that I like to go straight for the Ability Power with items like [[rylai's crystal scepter]] and [[rabadon's deathcap]]. Although that's just one of the [i]many[/i] ways to build him. Another common way of building him is for the on-hit effects, like [[malady]], [[wit's end]], [[phage]], and [[madred's bloodrazor]]. This is probably what your friends were mentioning with the massive attack speed. [[nashor's tooth]] is another great item for him. With this build your auto attacks will be [i]shredding[/i] their health away. With the on-hit from [[toxic shot]] coupled with all those items they'll be dropping quick. Concerning lifesteal on Teemo I personally don't like building him AD. But one item that is incredible on any kind of hybrid is the [[hextech gunblade]]. It's hands down my favorite item. It's gonna give you great spell vamp, lifesteal, ability power, attack damage, and a 600 damage active that slows. So pretty much there's your sustain in one item.
