There was talk on the vet forums about this too. I don't know what is going to happen, but yeah, pro guides are already pro guides, vets shouldn't have to recommend them.
EDIT: You're talking about Wrath and Me.
We're like the only two vets to have been rec'ing guides lately.
We teamed up and rec'd guides that deserved it from my review thread (as you may have noticed, Wrath rec'd your Shaco guide, I didn't at the time). I rec'd Wrath's Kat guide, and that's the only Vet guide I have rec'd, I believe.
EDIT EDIT: This is the list of my rec's. Tell me if any one of them don't deserve a rec, Dante, and I will remove it.

Pros are pros....And are supported on this site even though, one of them in particular who will remain nameless ((SAINTVISCIOUS)) has made some rather mean comments about the mobafire community on his live stream...
I would say the only one who tries to make solid builds AND GUIDES is Elementz , the rest of em just don't even ****ing try. And because they're pros their builds overshadow the moba community who work extremely hard...Sorry if this is getting off topic.
OT:
Pro's; with the way the mobafire site is set up, need recommendations just like I would if I wanted my guide to get noticed. (It doesn't take into account that pro's have a designated section) It's not the mods or admins fault, just the programming behind the site is set in away that requires recs to be given out for certain things to happen...Or at least that is what I would think is what is happening.

Mind telling me about it?
"If someone is ****, you point at them and declare "****!". Because this is the internet." - Serpentiferous
"The Internet: where men are men, women are men, and little girls are the FBI." - ???

He was in vent, chit chatting with someone, off handidly mentioned something like "mobafire, pfft man I put a guide up there and I told those baddie ****s: I'm a pro, I make a guide you use it. End of discussion. And they got all butt hurt about it Blahh blahh blah"
Something like that. As though we aren't "pro enough" to ask questions as to why a pro does something. To me that's something said about this community, IDK if others would agree.

The point of them not being able to be recc'ed was that they would already have extra attention from the green name instead of being recc'ed. Why is that not the case now?
Sig courtesy of GrandmasterD. Go get your own sig from them. :D
You need to log in before commenting.
But what I have noticed is that usually the recommended guide section has been filled with pro guides, the question is why do they need a veteran recommendation?
They already have their own section and I think by giving them recommendations you are just filling up sections and pretty much reducing the popularity and potential other guides have. People already know how good the pros are and dont really need a veteran to recommend a guide by a pro..
Its just a simple discussion, nothing serious intended.
EDIT: another thing I noticed is veterans like to recommend each others guides, in such a fashion that it looks kinda weird. Like for example "Veteran A recommends Vet Guide B" then immediately after "Veteran B recommends Vet Guide A)
