Well that's true but it needs to fit your team comp as you don't have a tanky top, but a high damage top.

I personally crush Darius with Jax every time I run the match-up. The first 3 times I ever played Jax, were all against Darius, and I won those. First time Jax, 2nd time Jax, and 3rd time Jax, against Darius's who, at least ONE of them, must have played Darius more than just 3 times and understood how to play him properly.
Decimate is AoE and therefore mitigated by
Counter Strike. You can jump in, immediately activate your E and burst him, and he won't be able to auto-attack you, and his main harass won't be as strong as it should be due to you being too close to do full damage, as well as being reduced by 25%. Then you can begin to walk away as the stun is about to end so that when he gets stunned, by the time the stun is over you'll already be out of
Apprehend range. Or, you could even just keep on going all in after the stun ends if you're not taking too much minion damage, your DPS is higher than his and you have an advantage of 2 seconds worth of damage. Rinse and repeat 'till dead.
Darius is stronger at level 6 in an all in if they're even, but usually I kill him first at 4 or 5, then possibly kill him again as soon as I hit 6, while he's still 5. The advantage gained from this allows me to keep on winning exchanges and go all in for a kill once he's low enough.
All in all, an overly aggressive Jax ***** on Darius, a passive Jax gets shat on by Darius. Playing aggressively can leave you vulnerable to getting ganked early-on, but sooner or later Darius will push because he's Darius. He will TRY to use
Decimate on you more than once, and that pushes whether he likes it or not.

you are completely wrong, simple as that ask anyone - highelo players Darius ***** on jax he needs babysit to get out of the lane properly.
How often do you intend to use that combo? And COMPLETELY exploit yourself to their jungler you'll have no skills ready and you'll be on top of that darius.
If you won against darius they were bad, simple as that

I picked Jax to counter their Darius.

Jax gets shat on pre early + mid... he gets countered by darius not the other way around
