This game was much harder than it needed to be. Kept having

My ults were not on point for this game. I think I felt a little frustration at my inability to take out their priority targets. Kat would hop in and I would think I could kill her and then she would just jump out.
Did use my ult a couple of times to get myself over a wall.

This one was easier than the last.

Not sure why I seem to be ending up in games with players who were plat last season. Maybe they have dropped?

It is a good thing Bot was dumpstering their lane, because our

Mid had no pressure, so

In a do over, I should probably have done a level four clear since none of the lanes looked that great as far as gankability as far as the early game. Mid maybe, but Orianna has no hard CC.
Not sure what I could have done about having them in my jungle. That would have required more help from my team.
Current champion pool as of 16-Jan-2018
Shyvana - Bruiser/Juggernaut - She is strong right now and I historically have good win rates with her. My alternative here was
Warwick, but I seem to try to do too much with him, whereas with
Shyvana I know I pretty much have to wait until level 6 to come online so I'm less likely to force things.
Evelynn - Assassin/AP - Also strong in the current meta. I generally don't get as far ahead on her in ranked as I do in normal games, but she is silly strong at the moment and tilt inducing for any squishy targets on the enemy team, which is a good feature for soloqueue.
Rammus - Tank - with jungle
Maokai's winrate currently dropping hard that suggested a look at the current tank junglers that are doing well in the current META. For some reason I don't get along with
Sejuani which leaves Rammus as the stand-out in the tank category. His early ganks are good and he has a beastly Mid game. Another thought might be
Jarvan IV since he can go either bruiser or tank plus he has good initation for team fights, but for some reason I seem to struggle in winning games with him.
Nasus - Juggernaut - really strong right now with the
Kleptomancy build. For the most part I find that as long as my team doesn't lose hard I can help carry the game once I ramp up on Nasus.
I've also put in quite a few reps on
Kled,
Ryze,
Urgot, and
Malphite in the off-season. I don't think my Ryze is ready for primetime, but if we need an AP threat in Top I could think about pulling him out.
Alistar - Tank - Good engage and durability once he gets his ultimate and his combo (
Headbutt +
Pulverize) is silly easy to land with the changes Riot made a while ago.

And autofilled for my first ranked match of the 2018 season. XD
And already deviating from my champion pool.
And buying

Assuming I continue to play

I used my

One of my death's was definitely dumb. I move up to slow

I also almost got myself killed clearing a ward that I knew was in somewhat dangerous territory. I had to blow my ultimate to get out of that putting it on cool down.

I made a mistake doing a level 4 clear. That cost me my Raptors and my Red. I got his Gromp in return, but that still meant I was behind a bit.

I would have had to have had something like

I think my take away is pick a good ganker and camp Mid lane so ASol can't roam and hope the rest of the map can manage by themselves.

I wasn't all that confident going into this game with a
And of course to start the game off,
As I guessed in champion select our team fight was actually pretty good and once we finally decided to group we were able to roll them up since
