Here's the ultimate way to tell if you're doing well as a tank.

1. You didn't concern yourself with k/d/a
2. Your success in terms of how often you got your allies alive through dealing with each objective (dragons, turrets, baron, inhibitors, nexus)
3. Your team won the game

A good measure is how much damage you've taken vs how much your team took :)

Also if you win is a good one. But you can be a tank and do excellent and still have a sucky team xD

Oh and the love you get! All the "I seriously think I'm in love with you crows" counts ;p

1. Did my carries get fed? (y/n) (10 pts)
2. Golf rules for kills (Lower amount of kills, the better) (5 pts)
3. Was my assist total close or equal to the total kills my team got? (20 pts)
4. Did my carries die often? (5 pts)
5. Did I CC their main DPS properly? (5 pts)
6. Did I initiate every fight? (50 pts)
7. (puggies) Did my team ever ***** about me? [Extra credit if no, +5 free points)
8. -(Laning) Did I let my partner get all the creeps harass free?
-(Jungle) Did I gank often?
-(solo top) Did I out farm my opponent? (5 pts)

Your score X/100

I judge my tanking on the unwritten score of how many times my teammates say "TY" for saving their hide... sometimes at the expense of my own.

And on the Wins.

But in general I judge myself on a simple question.

"Did I do everything in my power, to the best of my ability, and gave my team the best chance to win with MY playing of the part I played? (Which also includes making the right character choice.)"

If the answer is yes... I don't worry about it.

With a tank I have had a few games where I tanked my *** off but my DPS was horrendous and couldn't kill anything before I finally succumbed to the damage I was taking. You can initiate perfectly, you can disrupt them, you can CC them, you can keep them off your dps, you can do all this perfectly but if your 4 teammates can't kill anything before you die... it is not your fault.
Did I manage to assist you in any way? Hook me up by hitting that nifty +Rep button.

All guides have been archived due to my not being able to play LoL currently. The information is still there and is good but until I return they will be archived. I am able to keep them updated and current though.

Whenever I am thinking about being a good tank, I think back to a 3-person save a couple weeks ago... my finest moment as a tank.

as mentioned before it comes up to win/losing the game to measure your effectiveness.

Providing assists and sacrificing (or stalling) to save carries is also worth a lot :)
