This says it all, but I find it more important that Lugi gives it credit for. It literally keeps you at max range in fights if you use attack move.

In my case, A in teamfights, right-click for last-hitting. I've always thought everyone played more or less this way.

I've never used A in any situation, but then again I still use my mouse to place Skill Points instead of Ctrl + Q/W/E/R
I mean, A is good for facechecking bushes, especially to avoid being kited. Other than that A and rt clicking serve the same purpose
