Hello and welcome to the MOBAFire Patch Summary - 7.4!

This patch contains more item and mastery changes than champion changes, but one large change is an update to Cho'Gath's Feast functionality, which we'll cover below. In addition to normal balance changes, this patch includes some map-wide number tweaks to ward and turret gold as well as catch-up experience, so be sure to check those out.

Practice Mode is hitting the Beta client on the live servers this patch and ARURF (All Random Ultra Rapid Fire) mode will be returning from February 24-28 and March 3-6.

Check out the full patch notes for details on any changes that interest you.

The highlight for the champion changes in this patch is Cho'Gath's Feast, which received a small rework changing both its damage numbers, scalings and stacking mechanic. Cho'Gath no longer loses stacks of Feast on death, and rather than capping out at 6 stacks, Cho'Gath can now stack up Feast infinitely by continuing to munch on champions and epic monsters. He can still reach stack number 5 by chomping on minions and non-epic monsters, but after that he'll have to look for bigger meals to continue growing.

Cho'Gath reaches his maximum size (and bonus attack range) at 10 stacks, but he can go beyond that to keep gaining bonus health. Feast's also gained a 10% bonus health ratio, allowing him to deal more damage with health items and high numbers of Feast stacks. However, Feast no longer refunds half the mana and cooldown on minion kill and he no longer gains two stacks from champions.

Another notable change this patch is the loss of impact damage from Maokai's Sapling Toss. Saplings now only deal their damage upon exploding, making it more difficult for Maokai to guarantee that the ability deals damage to enemy champions. There was no compensatory buff, so Sapling Toss deals significantly less total damage now. Arcane Smash also costs more mana as you rank it up. With Maokai players usually maxing this ability first, this will have the biggest effect on his early laning phase.

Another damage nerf hit Corki's Missile Barrage. With Corki seeing success along with Maokai at all levels of play, Riot is toning down his base damage and ratios on normal missiles. The Big One will still pack a punch, but Corki will no longer be able to dish out consistent poke damage without weaving in constant Trinity Force procs. If you can dodge the Big One, you should be taking a lot less damage from this ability overall. Corki is also receiving a new secondary resource bar that displays the number of missiles he has stored and turns red when the next missile is a Big One.
