Well I think I have watched most notorious romcoms. I don't know if lifebaka still checks this thread, I wanna ask him about his favourite romcoms, maybe he has something worth a watch that I haven't heard of.

Having uninstalled League, I'm just not postin' as much. Still lurkin', though.

From this season, I'm really enjoying One Week Friends. It's just a romance, but I'm all over a good, light romance. Gimmick is the female lead forgets everything about her friends every week, so it's mostly about making friends and stuff. Except not about weird/antisocial people or full of fanservice.

Last season's Engaged to the Unidentifed was pretty fun. Immediately likeable characters goes a long way and covers for a bunch of other things that aren't strictly up to par. It doesn't move on the romance as much as I'd really like over the whole thing, but that's hardly new when it comes to romance anime, so I don't think it's too big a deal. And there's a bit of supernatural stuff going on, although they never get used to bring in shounen-esque fight scenes or anything other than romcom.

I also really liked Sakura Trick, although I'm not at all sure it's good. Lesbian romcom, involves a lot of kissing. So it's mostly about hijinks for most of the series, and then some conflict towards the end. I don't know if it's a good candidate to watch through in one go, but having a single episode a week made it thoroughly enjoyable. Hit my kawaii buttons hard, but definitely not for everyone.

I watch a lot of anime, so it's really hard for me to keep track of what I have and haven't enjoyed. This is just a few things from the last few seasons, because I haven't gotten around to deleting the files for them yet. Stuff from farther back is harder to bring to mind, but if you ask me about anything I've seen I can give you my opinions.

I tried to watch Golden Time, dropped it 5 mins into Episode 1. Dunno if I just wasn't in the mood for it, but it felt thick, annoying. I'll give it a try when I run out of anime to watch.

Yeah, Golden Time just didn't feel like it was going anywhere quickly. I watched the first half of it or so, but realized that it wasn't going to work out in a way I'd enjoy too much. Doesn't help that the male and female lead figure out they like each other in the middle of it, with at least ten episodes to go, so you just know there's going to be some ******** like another girl coming it and making things get messy and I don't wanna' watch that. I mean, it's bad enough when lighthearted shows like Nisekoi do it, I really don't want a more SERIUS show ending up wallowing in its own misery for several episodes before resolving things unsatisfactorily anyway. It didn't even have a particularly likeable characters or a particularly interesting gimmick to keep me interested. There's some bull about amnesia and a ghost-old-memories-version of male lead, but... I just never understood why I was supposed to give a ****.

I've only been watching anime from this season since my last post, but I feel pretty confident in highly recommending a few things from this season now.

First, No Game No Life. Out of everything this season, I think this is the only must-watch. While it continues the anime trend of poking a lot of fun at hikomori/NEET types, it also turns the two that serve as its main characters into certifiable badasses, so I'm inclined to give it a bit of slack when it also shows them being hilariously dysfunctional. Their dysfunction being hilarious also helps. No Game No Life is full of nice mind games, fun magic, hikomori being wonderfully weird, incredibly vivid and colorful visuals, and a great fantasy plot of the underdog victory running underneath it all. It's great and you should watch it.

Second, The Irregular at Magic Highschool (AKA Mahouka). Although it's taking place in a highschool setting, this is an action series about using techno-magic to fight people who may or may not be using techno-magic. Mostly what I've seen so far is a bunch of relatively young people being totally ridiculous badasses, which is always fun. Its fairly slow-paced for an action series, a problem which is compounded by very quick action sequences that are then frequently explained after-the-fact, but not to the point of being stagnant. It's also got some weird incest vibes, not entirely unheard of in anime, and spends probably too much time explaining how magic is supposed to work. Still, it's good and you should give it a watch if it sounds like something you might like.

Third, One Week Friends, mentioned above. If you like romances, give it a watch.

Obviously, the first season basically printed money. But it's gonna be a while since I think they started something else since they didn't think they'd achieve that level of success. Which is probably for the best anyways, seeing as another season would likely catch up to the rest of the manga. The first season ended at chapter 33, I think, so they'll easily reach chapter 57(the latest) if they do 24episodes.

There's also gonna be a live-action movie. That'll be interesting, lol.

Also, while on the topic of the anime, I just cannot believe how ******ed the director (or whoever it was that made the decision) is. Why would they add about 3-4 whole episodes worth of filler when they remove important scenes like Annie's speech. That would likely have been a 5 minute scene that served to strengthen her character and help you understand her motivations, but no, let's remove that for a nonsensical squabble between Erwin and the police or a cliche and flat out silly introduction of Pixis or a pointless couple of minutes of running away from titans where nothing happens or a ridiculously long scene of running along the wall while explaining things we already know or... I could probably keep going, but you get my point.

Well, that would be one way of doing it, but he'd most likely blow up the moon that way. I think he'll just jump.

Figured I'd post this here:

Also, I finished Log Horizon recently. It was amazing :3 I'd recommend it to anyone who doesn't require action or constant and strong expression of feelings to keep their attention.
