ooc: Well my sword lets me control gravity, so technically not god mode. Plus I can still be killed, and run out of energy.

OOC: Check out the front page for an idea of what god mode is.

GOD-MODDING

k guys, you can be as crazy as you want as long as you don't suspend belief too much. A sword that controls gravity, slows the neurons firing in the brain, and immobilises victims pretty much blows belief out of the room. It is simply too unbelievable.

That weapon is way too strong, you have to see that. What's the point of writing with, or trying to fight someone who could just alter the gravity around you so that every movement was painful/impossible to execute?

You can easily fix this by removing the gravity component of the sword. A man who can cut bullets out of the air with his sword is not as OP as someone who can control GRAVITY with his sword.

k? ^^ Rewind the last 2 pages, perhaps?

OOC fine how about I can slow the time around me. The larger the object the less they are effected ex. 1 second for a human being = 4 seconds for me. The smaller the object the longer I have to react to it. So 1 sec for a bullet is 20 seconds for me. Anything larger than a planet is unaffected. Also I mean mass when I indicate size.

Why can't you just not involve gravity at all? Couldn't your character just be super-fast so that the things happening around you do seem to be actually slower than they occur? Remember, most of the people in this tavern are not strong. Using Nameless' character for example - at one point she stopped a wave of bullets with her magic, but straight after she became woozy for using too much of her energy.

That is an example of a believable execution of magic - action and reaction. Currently you have a sword that controls gravity. You commit an action - how is anyone supposed to reply with a reaction? What is the point of fighting someone who can alter the gravity around them at their will?

Your sword could be super magnetic and draw the bullets out of the air, you could use magic, like Nameless did - basically anything would be better than a sword that controls gravity.

OOC: I guess I'll start the rewind. I am responding to Caliburn back on page 35.

Quoted:
I want to find out how he got his hands on that hammer. The God, Thor, would not give up his weapon under any circumstances. It would be like Poseidon giving his trident away, or Zeus lending someone his thunderbolt. It's unprecedented. Along with the fact that only a person worthy of its power is able to wield it leads me to suspect it is stolen. No one worthy of such a weapon would enter a duel so lightheartedly.

BIC:
Rudmed pondered what he said for a momment, "I suppose your right otherwise Thor himself would appear and attempt to get it back. Unless of course...Thor is dead. If he truly did kill Thor then clearly he is the rightful owner of that hammer."

"Ever consider that his king's staff is a better tool for him now?" replied the jsta to questions about his hammer... Then went and and sat down again.

My current power is basically makes objects move more slowly when they reach within 1 meter of me. I can't control their attraction to anything, I can only move faster than they can once they enter my area of control.

"I suppose." Rudmed replied as he shrugged his shoulders, "Of course a staff is just alot less scary. I mean come on a thunder god with a staff is not as intimidating as a thunder god with a warhammer."

"he's actually setteled down a bit, just as his dad wanted. But enough about him. Want another drink?" Asked the jsta, glad to be sitting down again, and trying to divert questions about the hammer.
