When I ask the question; Why can't I get a Scholarship for being a straight male? Looking through the list of scholarships that were being offered on my college website, a lot of categories were dedicated to women and members of the LGBT community and yet, no scholarships were offered for people like me being born with a heterosexual sexuality and being born a male. Why do they have the need to discriminate against people who were born straight and as a male? I can't change how I was brought into this world, so why is it that the American government and college programs find it right to give extra college money for people being born into this world as gay/lesbian/bi/transgender (though, trannies sort of do it to themselves) or as a woman and I can't get any funding for being a straight male? If you ask me, that's really teetering along the lines of discrimination.

Why can someone who's born an Indigenous Australian automatically receive a scholarship for attending university, but someone born as a "normal" Australian is not entitled to said scholarship? It's the same everywhere, Tosh, some peoples of our society are given privileges because other people in our society believe that these "different" people need more help in order to "even the odds".

you can get scholarships for looooooads of things.

I personally got a pretty good scholarship for playing oboe...and a half-decent one for getting a high score on the ACT....

You still have to qualify for said scholarships...at least in the US. I had to audition to prove I was good enough to get a music scholarship....

you can get scholarships for being non-white then. otherwise, my point still stands. you are privileged in our society.

That's smart, but first in every school? The first 8-10 top ranked in my class have 4.3 ~ 4.5 GPAs. o_o

@Toshabi It's because the people offering scholarships are probably gay/les/bi. Life sucks, hard.
