In other words, resistances > dodge. I don't even know why you'd take Nimblness on Nidalee anyway, I always go 9/0/21.
With Nimbleness and Dodge Yellows (like Hotshot used to use) she was really ungankable with that 10% move boost combined with Pounce, Ghost and Flash.

^ that. You'd run dodge on a backdoor nidalee with guisinoo's and that stuffs. Her backdooring post-nerf is rather meh in comparison. And seriously, even Reginald running Nidalee against CLG really didn't do much. It takes a very skilled player to play Nidalee to that super OP level Hotshot did. And that doesn't exist at most elo's. I think she would have been fine with just the heal nerf. It could gimp her early game a bit, and help level the playing ground. But gimping the heal AND the backdooring means the only thing she can do is poke, and her early game is STILL weakened. But even her poke is unreliable, and just not enough to make her a great pick anymore.
Still, resistances are usually better than dodge.

I don't think so in this case, though. Resistances are better for fights because they give you more survivability. The problem is, Nidalee is NOT staying for the fight on a fairly regular basis. Dodge is great for running away, because you get that speed boost. That and her passive mean she's moving pretty damn fast a lot of the time. ESPECIALLY with the +dodge passive.
So, I think Nid could use more resistances if she's going to fight in cougar form. That being said, what about this build:
Archangel's Staff
Rabadon's Deathcap
Rod of Ages
Frozen Heart (or this could be left at
Glacial Shroud for most of the game)
Banshee's Veil
Mercury's Treads.
Ends up giving 442 AP, 4k+ Mana, 2.9k HP and a lot of resistances especially in cougar form.
Not the most viable Nid, but it can get into team fights and survive (at least in theory) and still dishes out a good amount of damage.
