Either way, some other tanky chars are Maokai, Mordekaiser, Jarvan, Garen and perhaps even Galio ^^

Alistar really shouldn't be a tank, he should just take support/AP items because his ultimate does all the tanking he needs.
Not AP. Just support/tank items.
