You guys are talking about survivability, and rushing deathcap. I would say, a few examples what I basicly do. For long range casters:
Brand,
Orianna (Atleast before nerf...) and
Xerath should easily rush Deathcap and have survivability through positioning and summoner spells (
Flash). But for example, for
Swain and
Annie I rush RoA for the sakes of the reason you need to go pretty near to the opponent.
Just my thought, might be wrong on
Annie but I don't really care to be honest. I just read the last 2 pages and post about them. Also, Wrath, I'm dissapoint. Revolver? Not built straight into WotA? You would ruin early team fights with that!

If you had a 100 sec CD spell, 40% CDR, it would turn to 60. BIG AMOUNT.
If you have a 4 second base CD spell, 40% CDR, it turns to 2.4. Not much of a change...

He means you wouldn't have the aura when team fights come around, just the revolver. With the current meta though, that aura isn't going to be terribly effective in early-mid game. Chances are that the majority of your team is AD based, and your support probably has a heal anyway. It's more useful late game when you get to the LONG-*** teamfights where everyone is super tanky and b-ing means losing baron or something.
Also, the aura on WotA may not be as effective on Xerath, considering his long ranged spells. He might not even be close enough to provide the aura when the fight starts. Just a thought.

Which is why you only really need the revo.
But I mean it is only an extra 900 and gives you much more ap and more vamp, even if the aura doesn't reach ppl it is still great for yourself...you should still finish it off after deathcap imo but you don't have to
