Why none play AP Rengar anymore ?

hi guys im here for posting a question, Why none play AP Rengar anymore ? if it's because they have nerfed him can someone tell as it was before the nerfs.

EDIT: I tried AP rengar in the jungle and i have saved a screenshot of the damage. Unfortunately i have not saved the screenshot of the items at the end of the match so i take the screenshot from the match history :P

Yes, AP Rengar is hilarious for you do damage with something that should deal barely damage.
No, it is not viable.

OMG WHAT DO U MEAN NOT VIABLE?!
Simple:
You can cast a spell that deals a nice amount of damage with AP twice in a row when used well.

And then, then you have to wait....
You need to wait untill your CD of your W is off again, in order to deal damage again.

Sure, you can get , , or even to still do some magic damage even when your W is on CD.
But if that would work, why don't you see AP Vayne or AP Riven? Might aswell, since there are so much AP items.

Since we all know AP Vayne and AP Riven will not work, whatever item you might get, same is for Rengar. You could get full CDR as Rengar, but then you will need to remove other damaging items which AP Rengar also might require.

So unless you are able to kill your enemies within the 2 W's you cast, AP Rengar is not viable.

I hope I understand what you say here.
That the question is:
Would AP Rengar work if you get all the magical damaging items (including , , and )?

Rengar's damage will be a bit more constant yes, but I am afraid that only and will really increase your damage output (which you already have).

is more an apply on hit item, which doesn't fit Rengar that much.
is more for hybrid champions that need sustain. AP Rengar is much more a burst damage dealer than a sustained damage dealer, so that is not the best option either.

You could still get them nevertheless, but I think it is smarter to get and stuff.
The burst of AP Rengar is decent, do not ruin that burst by getting sustained damage, because that is just not very effective :P

On release, Rengar's W had a strong AP scaling combined with a really powerful heal. Riot has nerfed Rengar a lot since his release, and right now AP Rengar isn't very strong. He was never intended to have a lot of magical burst, so Riot made some changes to his W (the way it scales) and nerfed the damage output. Unfortunately the heal changes and nerfs to other parts of his kit also weakened AD and bruiser Rengar, so right now he's not a particularly viable pick.

Keep in mind that "unviable" does not mean you can't play him, or that you can't play him AP. It just means that Rengar, especially with an AP build, is not considered to be a worthwhile pick in any competitive sense. There's just no reason to play him over other champions.
