Views: 525 Silverman43's Random Gameplay thoughts: Damage and Tank Items
First of all, there is the high amount of true damage in the game. True damage basically has no counter, except for building large amounts of health. But by prioritizing HP, you might miss some important resistances against other enemies. It has already improved somewhat, but Riot seems to be a big fond of it. Conqueror, Infinity Edge (both especially before the reworks), execute ultimates like Pyke's, Garen's, Darius'...
The changes to Death's Dance are also an indirect buff to true damage users's.
This brings me to my next part: the items. There are lot's of item's to counter Armor, MR and HP. Blade of the Ruined King, Mortal Reminder, Lord Dominik's Regards, The Black Cleaver, Guinsoo's Rageblade, Liandry's Torment, Morellonomicon, Void Staff (tell me if I forgot anything) all counter tanks/bruiser in a way.
Im okay with that, but there are some niches missing in terms with tank items. Most of all, there is a grievous wounds item missing against healing mages. Luckily, those champs aren't common, but what to build on a tank against ex. a Vladimir? Thornmail? Useless. Morellonomicon? Rather not.
Some kind of shield item like Maw of Malmortius and Sterak's Gage, but more oriented towards tanks would be welcome. If even ADC's got an item like that ( Phantom Dancer)...
P.S. Riot if you are reading this, pls create a new Maokai skin. Dark star or Blood moon pls!
