Saw a comment on an old Olaf guide and I thought, well Ragnarok should pretty much make you be able to stomp the reworked Ashe because she can't slow you so she can't critically strike you or kite you very well. And sure enough it works like a charm.

On top of that he does a boat load of damage to squishy targets even if he is building full tank via Reckless Swing.

I feel like Olaf works best with a buddy to dive the back line. Don't get me wrong, he is pretty terrifying by himself when he is in your face if you are an ADC or APC, but if you have a dive buddy you...

Wanted to get back to Top Lane Sion since he got hit with the nerf bat in Patch 5.6 and talk about some topics I didn't cover earlier or are worth revisiting due to other changes in the game.

Decimating Smash damage to monsters was lowered from 90% to 80%

Roar of the Slayer passthrough damage was lowered from 50% to 30%

The Decimating Smash changes are not very important for Sion Top. Main effect is that if you do try to farm jungle creeps, it takes a wee bit longer.

The Roar of the Slayer changes were significant, but not disastrous. The big bad dude is still...

I've racked up a number of Sion top and one mid game of late.

I've been running him 21-0-9 and he still feels plenty tanky enough most of the time.

I've been using two rune pages for him depending on my lane opponent.

Vs AD - 9 Hyb Pen, 9 Armor, 9 Magic Pen, 2 MS Quints + 1 Hyb Pen Quint
Vs AP - 9 Hyb Pen, 9 Scaling Health, 9 MR, 2MS Quints + 1 Hyb Pen Quint (grrr...Teemo).

Sion's main form of harrass in lane is Roar of the Slayer. It does silly damage if you manage to smack a minion into the enemy champion, especially given all the magic penetration you are sporting...

Gragas Top

General observation about Gragas Top.

He is a safe pick. You'll likely be able to farm and harass your opponent a bit, and have a good chance of getting out of ganks between Body Slam and Flash, but you probably aren't going to win lane hard enough to make a difference in the match without jungler help or a mistakes on the part of your lane opponent. So, you have to be on the lookout for Teleport ganks to pull ahead of your lane opponent

Gragas vs Rumble

tldr; if you play a farm lane, Rumble has the edge is this matchup due to being...

I dragged the fat man out of the bar last night for a go round in the top lane. Ended up being vs an Elise. Opted to start Crystalline Flask as I didn't know how this match-up goes.

Running 21-9-0 Masteries with Magic Pen Marks, Armor Seals, MR Glyphs, and AP Quints.

I played this late pretty cautiously because I haven't played Gragas in a while and Elise does have hard CC in the form of Cocoon and chase potential in the form of Rappel.

Her harass hurts because of the %current health damage on Neurotoxin and the %missing health damage on Venomous Bite, but so...
