Your matchups section details a lot of really difficult matchups with very commonly seen opponents both Jungle and Lane. How viable is Malzahar considering this?

Hes viable still because once around level 7 he can farm his lane from miles away and play pretty safe even in a bad match up. Also in low elo people have no clue how to play against him. I also think he has more champs that hes good against then bad. Hes just not great against ranged pokers mainly. Hes also great with tp and ganking bot lane.

Hi,It's me again xD
Ok,I read this guide (again) and there is something that I don't like...
The "General Purchase" section is really messed (And it's outdated, you changed your core items but you didn't change the "General Purchase"). You should make different sections.
Example

I don't know what you're talking about o:
jk I updated it <3

Very well done guide! I also have a build on here but yours is much more organized and aesthetically pleasing . So let the Malz players rule!

Currently I can't agree with the guide's content at the moment.

I'll just list here with points that I disagree and some explanation behind them:

Morellonomicon > Athene's Unholy Grail at the moment. The stats from Athene's Unholy Grail are inferior to the stats of Morellonomicon.

Liandry's Torment shouldn't be core imo. There are far better items so you can actually do the thing Malzahar does: burst the enemy carry and then do something less useful.

Feast is superior to something like Archmage

Recovery > Enchanted Armor

you can just press enter to put another line there

Introduction note: Malzahar was a great user of Deathfire Grasp

Greater Quintessence of Magic Penetration are a better choice imo. They'll increase your damage more since Malzahar has so high base stats on his skills.

No mention of Greater Glyph of Scaling Ability Power which are pretty great on him.

Thanks for your feedback!
.
When building for mana sustain I usually gravitate towards Rod of Ages unless I'd prefer to have a bit of magic resist, in which case I switch to Athene's Unholy Grail.
.
Liandry's Torment is a touchy subject. Although you can easily do without Liandry's Torment I personally feel it can add quite a bit of damage, especially since the burn refreshes with every tick of Malefic Visions. I'll consider moving it to situational.
.
Feast: 100cs = 300 health + 100 mana
1 point in Archmage with 600ap = 9 bonus ap
Point taken. Changed now.
.
Recovery: Same as above. I'm not sure why I have a tendency to overlook small sustain buffs.
.
"empty space, move along"
Oh come on cut me some slack. I personally found it more amusing than just empty space (also sometimes just enter doesn't work for some reason)
.
We don't talk about Deathfire Grasp ;~;
May it forever rest in peace.
.
More rune options added. I don't have a huge rune selection myself so I'm really hard pressed when it comes to knowing which runes are best.
.
Once again, thanks for your feedback! I hope the guide is now slightly more informative! ^-^

Hi! This guide is good and beautiful, congratulations! :3
But why Zhonya's Hourglass?
Ok,ok...120 AP is very useful, but its active is not THAT good if you're using Malzahar.
Why? Malzahar has no escape tool,if he uses Zhonya's Hourglass the enemy will have 2.5 seconds to wait for his cooldowns.
Champions like Katarina can use Zhonya's Hourglass because she has an escape skill( Shunpo) and she can use Zhonya's Hourglass to wait for her Shunpo...
I think Zhonya's Hourglass should be a situational item and it wouldn't be useful if you're not against Zed, Karthus etc.

Obs.: Sorry if there are any mistakes, english isn't my native language

Hi thanks for your feedback!

To be honest, I rarely rush Zhonya's Hourglass unless the enemy team has someone like Zed. Usually I get it as 5th or 6th item. I will move it to situational. Thanks for your input!
