Nice update guys ! Phase Rush and Aftershock wasnt good now ? Could be cool to have the "Tank Shredder" build too with botrk BC imo when u got lot of tanks it helps so much

I'm gonna confess, despite what it says in the changelog I haven't finished completely updating the guide. Not sure about a BotRK > BC build, I will ask the Guide Team however. I'm hoping to have the guide fully updated later tonight or tomorrow.

Please update :D

QuinnMains (11) | February 19, 2019 4:33pm
Will do! I was actually discussing it today with the Guide Team, should be updated in the next few days! In the meantime, I recommend going Lethality Item > Shiv > IE.
1
KheopsTV | February 20, 2019 11:30am
I actually do Electrocute(or phase rush if i need to kite). and for the build Youmou / Tabi / Statik / IE / PD / GA and that works pretty well

FPSpsychoYT | February 19, 2019 2:28pm
Gonna update this soon? Stormrazor first is no longer viable. Best seems to be Ghostblade into Statikk into IE for Top, and IE into Statikk into Essence Reaver/Dmg Lethality for ADC.

Will do! I was actually discussing it today with the Guide Team, should be updated in the next few days! But the builds you mentioned seem to be pretty good!

I really disslike how less and less options in builds u guys are making. the down stairs part of the text is well done but the builds are just garbage in my opionon.

QuinnMains (11) | December 21, 2018 3:44am
As opposed to your guide? Taken from a Reddit post about your guide being updated: "Lol first thing I see when I click that link is Conqueror Quinn with Barrier. Is this satire?". Please don't confuse problems your guide has with our guide. The builds in our guide are what the vast majority of Quinn mains are playing. They are approved by our Guide Team which is compromised of Diamonds - Challengers. I can say with confidence that they are certainly not "garbage". But of course, you are free to believe whatever you want and build whatever you want: it is your elo that is on the iine. If you don't like the builds in our guide, simply don't build them.

Have you tried these in the jungle at all? If so were they any good? I have a hard time finding runes for Quinn jungle nowadays it seems.
1
QuinnMains (11) | December 3, 2018 4:02pm
The runes/build here should work fine in the Jungle, perhaps with the exception of the GA build which is designed more for lane. The guide will be getting an update soon however because of preseason.

ever tought about going for storm razor then essence reaver and then some crit? those 20% cdr and the 50% attack speed after going out of the ult is pretty spicy. Can easily get to the atk speed cap.
Also, toughts on the current dark harvest compared to electrocute?
Oh and 10/10 build totally the kind of stuff this game needs

QuinnMains (11) | November 26, 2018 4:42pm
Essence Reaver used to be on the guide but it was decided that it was not worth it and was removed. I have not heard of anyone building it currently, nor has there been much discussion on it recently.

Regarding current runes, there is still a lot of testing going on by the Guide Team and so we currently do not have an answer. The guide will be updated at some point in the near future when we have come to some conclusions.

Fantastic guide. I always wanted to play Quinn and i've had great results playing her. Recently you removed the Crit build and now i'm curious. Is it not viable anymore? This is the only build i've used. Have i been missing out by not playing the Burst build? Thanks in advance.
1
QuinnMains (11) | October 20, 2018 1:10pm
Thank you! Indeed, the guide was recently updated and the Crit Build was removed, whilst the SR > Shiv build was made #1. The SR build is the most common build for Quinn these days. I wasn't sure about removing the Crit Build however, as nothing had really changed to make it unviable. However, after talking to the Guide Team and asking the community on Discord and on this Reddit post, I have decided that the build is not popular enough to warrant being on the guide. I would recommend trying the other builds, but if you have had success with the Crit Build then by all means carry on with it. However as you can see from the comments on the post, the SR Build is a lot more popular these days, as is the GA Build.

Great guide, I believe the part about her ult isn’t completely up to date with her currently though, as champion damage no longer cancels her ult. I also would like to propose a build path for her that’s sustainable but does a large amount of damage. If you buy an essence reaver you can get a lot of harrier procs after ending your ult because off the large amount cdr on your abilities from er’s passive. Along with this build I would include the stormrqzzor and throw In a infinity edge for the bonus peck damage after using an ability. This allows for burst that can be used on multiple targets in quick succession.

QuinnMains (11) | October 3, 2018 2:27pm
Hey, glad you liked it! Thanks for pointing out the mistakes about her ultimate, I have updated it to match the current state. Regarding your build suggestion, we actually used to have Essence Reaver on the guide but it got removed a while back due to being sub-optimal and not a lot of people building it. Since then I haven't seen many people mention it. That being said, I suggest you post your build suggestion on the subreddit (or Discord) where it can be seen by more people who can then give their opinions on it :)

This is a really in-depth build, I like it! Especially since I've been trying Quinn out for a while now and I really wanted to try and main her. The sections were full of nifty information that I kept in mind as I practiced her. The bit I liked best was the detailed information about runes, I get confused on those a lot. Salute to Quinn Mains!

Thank you! Glad to have another Quinn Main join our ranks! You're one of us now!! :)

FPSpsychoYT | August 15, 2018 7:13pm
How long do you think it'll take until you update this for 8.16? And are the burst runes still viable after they mostly all got nerfed?
1
QuinnMains (11) | August 16, 2018 12:08am
I can't say for certain, it depends on how long it takes for our high Elo players to make up their minds on the matter. That being said, I expect builds will stay the same with maybe only some minor rune changes.

Wish there where more community guides like this one on this site. It really seems to be the best way to get all the small tips only one-tricks know about into a guide. Great job, I guess coordinating the writing of this guide was quite an effort :)

PS: It is not fun getting hit by a plane when farming sidelane. Pls stop doing that to me, ty.

QuinnMains (11) | August 6, 2018 4:19am
Thank you very much, means a lot to hear you say that! We'll try to avoid sidelane fly-bys ;)

Hey there!

Before I break down your sections, I’d like to let you know that you since you made banners, you can actually ditch the standard MOBAfire Table of Contents and make your own instead! Here's a step-by-step guide on how to go about doing that.

Okay, onto the more nitty-gritty stuff.

Introduction

Honestly, this section is a bit bland. It does get the job done, though. The links are super useful and the music is amazing (gotta love Riot sometimes). I would suggest, however, to add descriptions for your links so that your readers actually know what they’re clicking on.

specifics

Pros/Cons

Simple, yet informative. I like it.

specifics

Spells

Any informative guide is pretty much broken up into three parts: champion info (pros/cons, abilities, skill order), game info (meaning runes, masteries, spells, and items), and gameplay/tips and tricks/etc. I think it’s best to have it in that order; champion, game, gameplay/other stuff. That way, the first thing your reader learns about is whatever champion the guide is written for. By knowing all about the champion first ( Quinn, in this case), a reader is able to see on their own why a certain spell or rune page or mastery set works. Jumping right into it with spells before explaining any actual abilities is a bit off-putting, and may scare away a reader who’s new to the game.

Basically, group your sections so it goes Intro - Pros/Cons - Abilities - Runes/Masteries (whichever you feel should come first, they’re pretty much in the same boat) - Items - Laning/Jungling - Roaming - Common Mistakes - Conclusion - Change Log.

Sorry, back to the actual section. Again, it’s short but sweet. You’ve laid out the icons and text very cleanly. Good work!

specifics

Runes

Keeping it short and simple. Me gusta.

specifics

Masteries

I know the masteries for this build are already in the cheat sheet, but it’s very helpful, especially to newer readers/players, to explain what choices you’re making throughout the trees, not just the Keystones. Pictures would be really helpful, too.

specifics

Abilities

While what you have is actually really nicely coded, images or videos are always very nice to have in an abilities section. Luckily for you, the preseason minisite has .webm files for all of Quinn’s abilites. That means you can embed looping, HD videos, sound included, right into your guide! For example, here’s Heightened Senses:

Since this is quite a long post, quoting me for the code would be pretty tedious, so here’s the code for all of Quinn’s abilities (just copy and paste, it’ll be centered):

Passive: Harrier
Code:
[center][webm url=https://lolstatic-a.akamaihd.net/champion-abilities/videos/mp4/0133_01.mp4 autoplay=on loop=on][/center]

Q: Blinding Assault
Code:
[center][webm url=https://lolstatic-a.akamaihd.net/champion-abilities/videos/mp4/0133_02.mp4 autoplay=on loop=on][/center]

W: Heightened Senses
Code:
[center][webm url=https://lolstatic-a.akamaihd.net/champion-abilities/videos/mp4/0133_03.mp4 autoplay=on loop=on][/center]

E: Vault
Code:
[center][webm url=https://lolstatic-a.akamaihd.net/champion-abilities/videos/mp4/0133_04.mp4 autoplay=on loop=on][/center]

R: Behind Enemy Lines
Code:
[center][webm url=https://lolstatic-a.akamaihd.net/champion-abilities/videos/mp4/0133_05.mp4 autoplay=on loop=on][/center]

specifics

Items

I LOVE the mini-cheatsheet at the top of this section. Short, simple, looks really good, and super creative to boot. Other than capitalizing your headers (like “Zeal Items” and “Good Items”), the formatting is practically flawless. I think this might my personal favorite section! :D

specifics

Laning/Jungling

Probably my second-favorite section. The pictures are really nice to make all the text a little easier on the eyes, though I’d love some in-game shots of team fights, laning, a jungle path, or a gank. Some coding would also help to make everything a little better to read. Still, your paragraph breaks make sense and distribute information well. I’m also a fan of the summary sections at the bottom of each sub-chapter. Well done!

specifics

Roaming

This is a fairly plain section, and could benefit from coding, like saying Charm instead of Charm, as stated earlier. Pictures also help a ton!

specifics

Common Mistakes

I like this section - it’s kind of an extension from your tips in the Abilities section as well as from the Laning/Jungling section. Very helpful indeed. Again, though, it’s pretty plain; you’ve only got one link and no coding/pictures. Still, it’s in a bulleted list, so its readability is preserved.

One tip: Though the video is really useful, the text you use for the link is misleading; it should be something more like “Here is a good example of why you should save your E after ulting.”

specifics

Conclusion

Keeping with the theme of this guide, your conclusion is short, but sweet. I love the picture you put there, too. It’s actually my favorite out of all of the ones I’ve seen here. :)

specifics

I really enjoyed reading this guide. Its simple, clean format was enough to break up the text a little, yet without being overwhelming. That said, you could benefit a lot from further use of coding, which makes everything easier to read as well as making the experience more pleasurable. You also had a fair amount of typos/grammar mistakes, but none that made it so I couldn’t understand what you were trying to say.

your score (rounded up!):

Cheers!

Hey there. Thanks for reviewing my guide. I am in the process of making your suggested changes. However I am having a little bit of difficulty when inserting the videos using the code you provided. For some reason the videos appear huge and cover the whole screen when I try adding them to my guide (I am copy-pasting the code you provided). Is there any way to set a limit on the size of the videos? Thanks in advance!

There is so much to learn from this video. My mastery of this video is probably the single biggest factor contributing to my success as [[morgana]] support. It has also improved my quality of play on other skillshot reliant champions.

what this looks like

Above is an excerpt from my morgana guide.
This is something that I do that I personally like. It links to a youtube video, but instead of putting text in the link, I put an image of the video's thumbnail. Using this, you can use the code
Code:
[url=youtube.com][image=IMAGEURL width=WIDTHINPIX][/url]

To effectively control the width of your youtube videos.

You requested a review in my review thread, but i'm going to hold off until you make some changes. It looks like winston's already given you some good ideas on how to start improving your guide.

Hope this helps!
