Dayum. Looks like I'll have to update my Guide to Making a Guide tutorial video. I'll be back with feedback later. EDIT: Who wrote the "Help" section?
I basically just compiled and updated as many useful resources as I could and then linked anything I couldn't fit at the end for further reading. I learned all my BBCode knowledge from other great authors and coders on the site so it's really your guys' knowledge. :P

Thanks to Lugignaf for the sig!

Hey everyone, I'm happy to announce that the new guide editor and guide view have launched! These new features, upgrades and visual overhauls have been in the works for a while and today we're ready to show off the developers' hard work! For those of you who participated in the open beta for the new builder, expect the same features, but now with all save and publish permissions unlocked for the new guide editor.
Check out the new features below and create a guide or edit one of your own to try out the new builder! To opt-in to the new guide view, uncheck the "Use legacy guide style" box in the Basic Setup tab when editing a guide. The legacy style is enabled by default so you can opt-in to the new look whenever you're ready.
Create a new guide or edit one of your own to check out the new guide editor!
The new editor is more streamlined to help newer guide authors go through the guide creation process step by step. After adding a title and filling out some basic guide information, you can progress to the Build Options tab to piece together your build and then move on to the guide chapters.
Quick note: You can select multiple roles in the Basic Setup tab, so if you have a guide that encompasses more than one role, we've got you covered! ;)
New guide authors should check out the Help tab for guide creation advice, BBCode tips and formatting templates. There are also links to even more helpful resources at the bottom of the Help page if you're looking for more details on a particular aspect of guide creation.
Be sure to check out the new Threat & Synergy meters! Threats are now measured on a scale of 1-5 and we have a new Synergies tool to help you show off your champion's most effective allies. Multiple champions with the same threat or synergy rating will be shown when that rating is selected. You can also click "Show All" to see every matchup and synergy at once if that strikes your fancy.
The guide box is a bit wider and the background has been changed to a deep blue color rather than the legacy black. The width allows for more room for you creative BBCode geniuses out there, or more space for larger graphics if that's more your thing. The new guide chapters also have sleeker headers that better match the contemporary look for MOBAFire.
Check out the Chapters tab in the editor to see our new chapter tools. Chapter headers can now be replaced with images of your choice, if you have headers of your own you'd rather use. You can choose to show the title of the chapter over the image if it's a simple background, or you can hide it if your image has the chapter name included already. This feature allows guide authors who prefer using custom headers to organize their guides using the chapters system instead of resorting to single-chapter guides.
The dimensions of the custom header box are 762 x 125 pixels, so keep that in mind when creating your headers!
If you're concerned about any potential conflicts with the new guide width or background color, don't worry, you can wait as long as you want before turning on the new features. These features are all opt-in, so you can turn on the new guide style whenever you want, or stick with the legacy view if that's your preference. Your readers will also see whichever view you've selected for your guide.
I hope you guys enjoy tinkering with the new builder. Leave us a comment with your impressions and feedback on the new look and new features. Remember, these features are all opt-in, so you won't have to switch to the new format until you're ready. Let me know if you have any questions! :)
