So then with Q your better off with AD runes?

Only way to get percent armor pen is from last whisper or masteries.

Flat armor pen runes on the other hand are fine.

I prefer to play the monkey as an Offtank.

I like a mix of ArP Marks, AD Quints, Flat armor Seals, and Flat MR quints.

I take Exhaust and Ghost with improvement in both. This helps with chasing and escapes. Being able to use ghost as you Warrior Trickster is always fun.

Items I take Youmuu's Ghostblade, Mercury's Treads, Randuin's Omen, Trinity Force, Wit's End and Quicksilver Sash or Force of Nature... Depending on the amount of CC on the enemy team.

I take the MR items, since he gains more armor for every nearby enemy champ. I get so much tankiness and dmg out of this, its amazing. With the tankiness and his ult, I love starting team fights. The only thing thats as much fun as starting them, is how I start them.

Hmmm, going to have to try this out. What do you begin with boots and 3 health pots? Also, this is an expensive build so where do you concentrate, i.e. rush? Thanks!

I start with Doran's Blade. Its a good item for me.

As for the cost of this, I rush the gold items, Avarice Blade and Heart of Gold. Now assuming that you get the farm, kills, and assists gold, these items make things a lil cheaper.

I prefer to sit on my gold items as long as I can, while still picking up the utility items I need ( The Brutalizer, Sheen, Zeal, Warden's Mail, etc). But I get them according to the current flow of the game.

If Im doing well: Zeal and Sheen

If Im doing ok, but I need more dmg: Sheen and The Brutalizer

Need tankiness: Warden's Mail and Phage

The combos of what is needed is too big for me to go into details.

But, I do make my boots as soon as I can, or if I dont have the coin to buy other items.

If I 'need' to rush anything, its Youmuu's Ghostblade and Randuin's Omen. I usually get them after my Sheen. And of course you build accordingly after those items. Oh I have Mercury's Treads along with those items.

And since the patch, the new item looks promising as that last MR item. I would suggest making Hexdrinker early after the gold items if you can see that the enemy's mages are going to be an issue. But I still stand by Quicksilver Sash and Force of Nature as possible last slot MR items.

Quicksilver Sash for heavy CC teams

Force of Nature if you need more tankiness

Maw of Malmortius if you want tankiness and the utility of the mage bubble.

But what ever the case maybe, I just hope you have a much fun with this as I do.

Wow! Thanks for the in-depth response. Last question that concerns mastery page for Wukong as you play him: 21/9/0 or 9/21/0? I do find him fun and is fast becoming my favorite champ.

By the way, as a side note, I played him a few times laning with Karma; yeah Karma. Great combo especially since the Karma player DID NOT play her ***upport but AP mage with support as a secondary. We owned against Tryndamyre and Gangplank.

I can now understand why Karma players fear Riot's reworking. She is a great, very unique champ that takes time to learn and shines as an AP mage.

Karma works well with champions that have a dash-to as it makes great use of the damage on spirit bond and easily wins trades as it helps you escape too.

Another thing Chaotic forgot to mention. QSS isn't only for heavy CC. It's also for removing game-changing de-buffs.
Children of the Grave, Hemoplague, Chum the Waters are all good uses for QSS along with Event Horizon.

Force of Nature is a lot more situational than he makes it sound. The HP5 that you're getting from it is almost negligible unless they have a heavy, heavy poke comp. I.E. Ezreal, Nidalee, Kog'Maw, etc.

The MR is still great though and no other MR item surpasses it in terms of numbers.

I like the Movement on FoN. Combined with Triforce, its a lot of fun.

I like to play him 8/22/0

I take Summoner's Wrath , Brute Force , and Alacrity in offense.

In defense I get all the tanky things, armor, MR, HP, reduced AoE dmg, all that fun stuff, but the point I dont put in the offense for % ArP, I put in lowered turret armor. It doesnt seem like much, but when you have two or more ppl pushing a lane, you can tell.

But make sure that you get the movement buff while above 70% HP. Makes getting around a lil easier.
