I've been experimenting a bit with heavy magic damage and ranged supports like Sona and Lulu, and while I was doing this, I was wondering if I could make a mastery page with the 9 points in offense while remaining the mandatory 16 points in utility. Basically, the result was what you can see above.
Basically, it is a mix between 1/8/21 and 9/0/21. Offense for super high early game poke, some marginal defense coupled with the standard support utility.
I'd like to hear your thoughts!

I've played around 14-0-16 (with a more defensive runepage) on Sona with varying results, as well.
[quote=The_Nameless_Bard]sounds interesting to me.

i think the main downside of this is the missing movement speed bonus and the gold you get each time you hit an enemy with an aa. am i right? :D

It is squishy but already less squishy than a 9/0/21 page. I really like it combined with HP quints (to make up for the squishyness) and hybrid pen marks. Just some sort of an hyper-aggressive early game page.

I've done this mastery page on Nidalee and even sometimes Zyra since forever and I still do but I have to say that you guys are right, the lack of early tankiness hurts. You have less room for mistake but more damage..

I would suggest 5/9/16 for supports instead since imo the extra AP and Mpen isn't as useful as the extra tankiness.
the 5 points in offense are useless. If you want to go offense, you need to grab the magic pen.
