What I Know ► omg, wow, ouch, this is what happens when you don't ban Kha'zix and Akali. They're going to be heaps of trouble. ► We needed a tanky jungler; Trundle isn't the tankiest, but I wasn't up to playing Amumu and missing Bandage Tosses, or ulting nothing =.= What I Want to Know ► Why is there a TF? What I Learnt ► It really sucks to have red buff taken from you when you're at it, trying to grab it. But allies skedaddled, so that was it. ► Walked over to Blue Buff, got that and then promptly fed it to top lane Akali, who got a double kill; I tried to gank, backed out, and wouldn't you know it, Khaz was taking the Wight as I was retreating, so they sandwiched me and ate. She ended level 5 when our top was level 2. It was bad. ► Khaz, TF and Akali helped themselves to my jungle, as I was helpless to do anything. I was severely underlevelled all game until the end. ► I was 0/5/1 for the longest time. My team wanted to surrender. But I hit "no", and was the only one who did (someone else abstained). So glad they did, because the enemy team got cocky several times and made heaps of mistakes, allowing us to win. ► It really is no fun to be so heavily counter jungled; I've learnt that if I'm being destroyed early, stop building FF and go for something else from Machete. I was with Wriggle's for the better part of game, at 12 stacks for ages. It was embarrassing. ► I'm so glad my team didn't flame me. Every time I died, no one said anything. It really helped me get through the game. It would have been so easy to say, "Frikken Trundle is a tasty snack." |
@Last page, Caitlyn is usually hard for Twitch to lane against unless his support can initiate something favourable. Every Thresh lane is completely dependant on whether or not he can land hooks or at least pressure them though, if he can't you're always going to get destroyed. Based on what you said I think it's safe to assume the Thresh was just awful and they both got wrecked by Fiddle. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Also, I don't think red trinket really does very much against Twitch. If he's using his stealth correctly to initiate picks or flanks then he's already in range to murder you long before he ever walks into the stealth detection. If he's using it to escape he's probably either still out of range or you already won the fight, it takes an eternity for stealth to trigger now if he's getting hit. Pinks are a lot better.
Also, I don't think red trinket really does very much against Twitch. Luther: I don't think the Thresh was awful, but he was very rude. I think he let his negativity get the better of him in champion select and carried it throughout the game, making him under-perform. Enemy jungle was bot lane that game a lot too, snowballing the lane, so that didn't help.
You're right about red trinket. But I can't say Scrying Orb did any good that game. Maybe it'd have been more beneficial if they had yellow trinket so they could at least ward the outside of the base to warn of approaching enemies.
With regards to pinks, I don't think people in my elo understand that you can only get one per person; they may be stuck in the mentality of "the support/jungler buys pinks, not me". In that game I'm certain there wasn't 5 pink wards active (not that I expect 5 pinks at all times, but when a Twitch is running rampant, you'd think there'd be a couple in the base). Ah well.

What I Know ► :( What I Want to Know ► Why I'm getting first pick so often :( What I Learnt ► Never agree to a trade when you can't physically jump on someone else's computer to swap champions if something goes wrong. ► Ahri reminds me of Morgana; landing the CC that is and how safe she feels. I really played the best I could with support masteries, runes and summoners. Katarina was VERY bad, but just snowballed. Warwick - there is no words. It's such a shame, because Janna's a great pick against that enemy team; I would have loved playing her. ► Super hard to CS with pitiful AA damage. I'm pretty embarrassed at my CS score. ► I didn't like Ahri's W. It's so awkward. |
Hi guys, I was wondering if any of you could give me some advice from this video. Advice in playing Ahri would be fine, but I'm mainly looking to improve my overall gameplay.
I downloaded OBS and decided to jump into a ranked game straight away without testing the settings. So... First off I start with a blank screen before switching to windowed mode. I never play in windowed mode, so the camera movements in the game are SUPER shaky. Also, as I didn't turn off Aero like it suggested, the game is in like... 360p :(
I definitely didn't play my best; I miss last hits and Charms like a beast. Additionally, I don't play Ahri (except that one time in ranked when support couldn't swap their pick with me), and rarely play mid 8D
But I thought it'd be a good game to get advice on, seeing as if I want to improve I should be playing other lanes and different champions.
Edit: ... also, apparently my song playlist went through 8D

Oxide: Yeah... that last game... We were winning by a huge margin and then we made a bad Baron call, they killed all of my allies and pushed to win. Sucked a lot.

What I Know
► We have a squish team. Again.
► We have no CC. Damn.
► Zed AND Akali AND Warwick on a team with no CC? :(
What I Want to Know
► Why exactly I chose Vlad, lol.
What I Learnt
► Vlad is actually quite good against Akali. I shut her down in lane through harass, and she was behind in CS and got killed by Khaz at one point just after level 6... then she started roaming. I guess if you can't get kills in your lane as Akali, you go elsewhere and feed on the flesh of the willing.
► No CC is bad. Warwick was free to do whatever he wanted. Even Ignite didn't stop him from bulldozing through our team to whoever he wanted.
► I could have done MUCH better this game. It was a case of everyone doing poorly except the jungler; he was a bro. I definitely made a poor choice in playing Vlad. Perhaps an Irelia? Someone with some targetted CC was needed.

What I Know
► Start in the camp that bottom lane can help with. Pretty much wasn't a point though, as Vayne was afk until minions got to lane =.=
► lolnexus tells me Fizz is Plat 3. Great.
What I Want to Know
► Both team comps seem quite well-rounded. When it comes to a teamfight though, who'll win?
What I Learnt
► Not sure why, but I've been starting with W on Trundle for as long as I can remember. Tried Q this time and it worked fine. Will keep going with that.
► Ouch Ryze hurts :/
► I pretty much kept to the jungle most of the game. But when I was involved in fights, Alistar would Exhaust me =.= I'd then run past him and go after Tristana. I just completely eliminated her from teamfights, either by straight up killing her, or chasing her around. Once when I was doing dragon solo though, my team got in a fight and she got a triple kill =.=
