Natsu's Power Rankings - Week 2

"Natsu's Power Rankings - Week 2"

I'll go with this title and I'll change the number of the week as I go along. Seems alright. So let's get to the power rankings. If you don't know how I rate the teams, go back to my previous blog post and read it. Let's go!

EU LCS, Week 4:
1. Fnatic (-)
2. H2K (+1)
3. Origen (-1)
4. Unicorns of Love (-)
5. Gambit (+3)
6. Giants (-2)
7. SK Gaming (+3)
8. Elements (+1)
9. Copenhagen Wolves (-3)
10. Roccat (-3)

Fnatic vs Origen was a very solid match and Fnatic ended up victorious in the end. This was definitely Origen's weakest week in comparison to their first 3 weeks. With H2K on the rise, they move up to 3rd while Origen slides into 3rd. Now all eyes are on the Fnatic vs H2K match-up. Gambit have moved up a lot this week. While they still have a lot to work on, they are starting to look like a team now and that's great to see. The more competition the better! But don't be fooled, the other reason why Gambit move up so much is because the teams b…

Sion Part Three

A little late to the party on this one, but I finally had an opportunity to play Sion again a couple of days ago.

It takes Sion a lot of mana to trade. He has difficulty with anyone that can shield or sustain through the damage he does.

The nerfs have made it harder for him to flat out dominate some of the lanes he could when he was still overtuned after his re-work.

His ultimate and other crowd control plus his ability to infinitely stack health and still do respectable damage make him a super tank that is just about always useful to have on your team assuming you need a super tank with decent engage.

Patch 5.8 notes

Soul Furnace

After activation you have to wait 3 seconds before you can manually detonate the shield, assuming it hasn't already been broken.

% max health damage dropped from 10% at all ranks to 6/7/8/9/10%.

Analysis of Changes

Yeegads, the bump on self detonation from 2 seconds to 3 seconds is annoying. The increased delay definitely gives your lane opponent …

Bit of a Talk; Firbane, Quit Goin' Away!

Hey folks! What few of you do come on here on the now and again, you were probably wondering; where are your thoughts on the last two patches!? Well, I have some, Ekko is some crazy stuff man! Lovin' your multitude on references on that one Riot.

So, where have I been you might ask? Well, work happened; yeah, it's summer, kids and adults alike are out of school, and I wanted to make some extra cash for the summer to repair some damages on my car, buy some microtransaction stuff from Riot, Path of Exile, maybe Wildstar once it goes F2P, etc. Additionally, I think I'm in need of some weight loss, not a ton mind you, I'm pretty below average to average of your typical American stereotype, so I've been working out. With my job, and working out, I've been coming home tired, and have wanted to relax and rest up. Additionally, Steam is being bogus with a ton of sales that won't stop grabbing my attention as far as games I want to play!

So the short of it all? Procrastination strike…

Natsu's EU LCS/NA LCS/LPL Power Rankings

Decided to start this whole power rankings thingy. It works in a similar way to the lolesports rankings. They are based off of the follow things:
-Schedule of the teams
-Individual performances
-Team performances
-My personal opinion on the matches
-The previous week's power rankings

Since this is my first attempt at doing power rankings, they will be a bit inaccurate because this is the 1st post but they will start being more on point as the weeks go by. I plan on doing this weekly. Every Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday probably. Let's go!

EU LCS, Week 3:
1. Fnatic
2. Origen
3. H2K
4. Giants
5. Unicorns of Love
6. Copenhagen Wolves
7. Roccat
8. Gambit
9. Elements
10. SK Gaming

I am very very surprised SK is at the bottom with 0 wins. Their main problem seems to be decision making and the players underperforming. I hope they can pick it up soon. Gambit went 2-0 but their games were messy and it took them forever to close out, hence the #8 spot. UoL had a disappointing 0-2 week which is w…

Timing Summoner Spells 0.1

Assuming I have all the math right, this should be a fairly complete list of the possible cooldowns on most of the summoner spells.

It is a lot of information that I wouldn't expect most people to encode. This is more of a baseline that I can work with to distill down and gave me a chance to play with tables.

It is interesting information if you think of say Sona running Flash and 3 points in

Timing Summoner Spells

Teleport

4 min (240 second) cool down if you Teleport to a tower

5 min (300 second) cool down if you Telepoort to anything else

Flash

5 min (300 second) cool down

If at all possible call out the timings when any enemy champion uses one of these abilities.

Look at the game clock and mark the time. When you have a moment type in chat Vayne Flash 12 (which would mean that at 7 minutes into the game Vayne flashed and it is going to be down until 12 minutes into the game.)

The math on that:

Game Time = 7 min
Flash cool down = 5 min

Vayne's Flash will be up again at 7 + 5 = 12 min Game Time.

This is information that you and your team can utilize.

No flash on the their ADC? Your jungler should come by for a gank.

The enemy team used three flashes in the last team fight? Either look to pick-off the champions that Flashed or try and start another team fight before they get their flashes back as this will limit their mobility and escape or engage potential by quite a bit.

The en…

Looking for scrimmage partners

We are currently looking for some regular teams to scrimmage with. This is basically a relaxed way for us, and your team, to get some solid practice in and get better, with no stakes on the line. We are very serious about our team and getting better.

Let me know if you would like to regularly be scrimmage partners with Flexl Cats. Thanks!

It's been a good run Mobafire!

Some of you may have noticed that I have been really inactive over the last few months. This is due to the fact that I have stopped playing League and playing again in the near future seems very unlikely, at least for the time being.

Goodbye! It's been an incredibly good run, fellow Mobafire members!

P.S. If anyone is interested in a silver account on the EUNE server with almost all champions owned and a few skins, PM me and we can negotiate about it.

Minion Wave Control 0.1

Slow-pushing is a way to be in two places at once.

If your minion waves are equal, you can start a slow-push by killing off 2-4 minions in the enemy wave. The more you kill the faster the wave pushes.

You can kill off the entire enemy minion wave if your minion wave is already missing some minions.

You generally start a slow-push in the mid to late game when your team wants to go for an objective.

By building up a large concentration of minions in your lane, you don't have to be there to push out enemy minion waves, your minions will do that for you. This gives you the opportunity to leave your lane to go help take the objective your team is interested in. If the giant minion wave that builds up starts to threaten a tower or an inhibitor, at least one champion on the enemy will likely be sent to deal with it. This means that your team can go after the objective with a champion advantage.

You can also set up a slow push when you want to roam to another lane if you think you will …
