Need a new username

I have IP/RP to spare and I'd like to have a name change for once. So, give me your suggestions here!

A couple of things it must have:

* It must have something to do with Lulu. I originally wanted "That tasted purple" but that's too long. I'm turning into a one trick pony because I like playing lulu so much :^)

* It must be something a random solo queue teammate can understand, no inside jokes etc.

How to deal with top laner starting with a jungle camp

Soup.

This is pretty common these days and I see very few people dealing with this "properly". Shoving the lane is probably the worst option. Freezing the lane is not too bad but you can do it more efficiently.

The "proper" or ideal way to deal with this in my opinion is manipulating the wave so the enemy minions start to shove towards your lane. This way you deny xp and gold the most efficiently. Normally by freezing the lane, enemy top laner loses 2-3 creeps but by manipulating the wave, the enemy top laner can even lose the whole minion wave.

This is how it's done

You just simply go on the brush where the minions come from (depends on which side you are). When the minion wave is coming at you, you simply take aggro by stepping out of the brush so minions start to focus you, after they're grouped a little, you walk back to the brush and let the minion waves meet.

Strategic Element: Time

Strategic Elements: Time

Time is a dynamic advantage, which means if you do not use it, you lose it. Time is how much time your team has to move towards an objective or some other goal, such as placing vision before being confronted by the enemy who will attempt to deny you that goal or objective.

How to Gain a Time Advantage

A time advantage mostly comes from two places; death timers and lane pressure. For example, if you ACE the other team and the death timers are at 30 seconds, you essentially have free reign on the map to push an objective, take buffs, place vision or return to base, or regroup and buy more gear for the next clash. Time from lane pressure comes from minions or creep waves. For example, let’s say you have a massive creep wave pushing into the enemy base with super minions and it takes all five members to deal with the wave, meanwhile your team is split pushing mid and bottom. So, what is the best course of action when you have the advantage of time? There are a…

Tanklaf/Olafgar

Olaf is pretty versatile in the sense that, in many cases, he can build tank or damage and still do his job (getting to and killing the enemy carries or keeping them out of the fight long enough that your team can beat their team) effectively.

Tanklaf = 9-21-0
Olafgar = 21-9-0

Tanklaf

In match-ups were you are automatically going to get poked to heck and back you can go 9-21-0 and just build tanky to survive the poke while getting the farm that you can. Ragnarok still lets you get to the enemy team's carries unimpeded by pesky crowd control. Reckless Swing still chunks them for a quarter or more of their health at a time,

Olafgar

Tried some games last night running a 21-9-0 Olaf and going for a more damage oriented build when possible.

General

The biggest thing that is going to mess you up as Olaf is accidentally using Reckless Swing on an unintended target. When laning, you can alleviate this by practicing using the tilde key `/~ + E, which directs an ability to only target champions. However, I find the key placement a little awkward, so I may see about rebinding it to an alternative that is easier to reach.

In team fights where there are no minions are around you just have to be extra careful about which champion you target or just rely on the fact that it will come off of cooldown quickly if you are constantly autoattacking.

You'll see a trend in the match-ups which is basically that

The Adventures of Team Building

5/19 start building team by messaging random friends in league

5/21 fill out roster

5/26 ironed out roster

6/1 abandoning some team members due to lack of participation, posted link on League of Legends Boards

note: this is completely random, and while adhering to actual events, is still just made for fun, and to add something to our team page

LoL: Elements of Strategy

A game can be broken into specific elements that I do not think have been articulated, yet, in the League community and by analyzing them we can know not only who has the advantage, but what that advantage is and how to use it. This will lead to what I believe is the main reason people in solo queue lose games—poor decision making. Come on, who hasn’t ran rogue down mid without your team only to be assassinated over and over again by some bastard*coughRengarcough*? The other main reasons, not the focus of the blog, I think people lose games are mechanical and tactical errors. Occasionally we may dive into the realm of tactics, but for the most part this blog seeks to address strategy. So, let’s get to it.

There are three main elements that are present in any game at any time; time, objectives, space, and power (gear & levels). Let’s take a closer look at what each of these means in game terms.
