So I joined LoL in S2 I believe and have been having fun... even though I mostly play bot matches for some reasons. Even though my understanding is that LoL is a team game, a lot of the time I find myself questioning if it really is a "team game". I mean sure we have the pro teams and we have the teams trying to clime up the ladder but besides that... aren't following? Well a lot of the time my unranked games go like this, enter champion select, and right off the bat people start yelling at other for (A) the champion they picked or (B) not letting them be _______ lane. Enter game and people most of the time (A) won't listen to what other people say (B) yell at the team and say they all suck whenever they die, no matter whose fault it is (C) AFK for no reason or because the team is "A bunch of n0obs who can't play the game and should get off lol now" or (D) all of the above and more.

And here I am trying to figure out how to get better but it gets really hard when over half of the team…

SSW vs TSM - Chances for TSM were low and even though I believed that maybe somehow they could win, I know they would most likely lose. They did lose in the end but I was impressed by their play in Games 3 and 4. I kept telling everyone that Turtle and Lust wouldn't lose brutally vs Imp/Mata and that's what happened. In-fact, Turtle/Lust actually played quite well vs Imp/Mata. I was pleasantly surprised. I'm quite happy with TSM's performance at worlds this year. They played much better than last year and could have potentially beat White if they won Game 4.

SSB vs C9 - As with the first match, I was pleasantly surprised by how well C9 played. I gave them a bigger chance at winning and with reason. SSB weren't exactly clean in that series and if C9 played a little better, they could have taken the series to Game 5. Overall, I'm proud of the NA teams and I think they played really well.

SHRC vs EDG - I was hoping EDG would step up and play better this time around but that didn't happe…

So I made a decision...

It's a really hard one. Playing LoL has given me lots of hours of fun, recreation and opportunities to meet new friends.

But... LoL has also given me lots of hours of frustration, endless negative rants/taunts/humilations in chats, loss streaks beyond normal, and technical issues at evening play primetime.

I really can say that no game in my gaming career since 1984 (!) has made me feel so frustrated. Thats really a sad thing.

People told me so many things to motivate me again. To improve my skills, to ignore bad players, to calm down and not shout back etc.

Still it is impossible for me to digest all this. Everytime I loose a game I cannot resist the feeling that it's a loss that I could not prevent at all. It feels like being a passenger...

I can even play 11/4 and dominate my lane, and still its a big fat loss. What is my contribution worth at all?

After deciding to get out of the gym and go for an actual ride on the road I can conclude there will be more setback than first assumed. I have less strength climbing hills and need to develop more stamina. I have also noticed that I will need to work on keeping speed and finding the safest course to take as last year I broke my Radial Head in my left arm while biking. And that was only going 15 MPH. Down the long Hill on the course I had a speedometer rate me going at 27 MPH which is very dangerous for a newer biker.
As of now I have also come down with the flu and will need to re-structure my training regiment to be more on a daily basis instead of an all in trade. Sadly due to conditions with a faulty tire I have only ridden a total of 6 miles outside of the gym along the course shown. I have also invested into a good pair of bike shorts and will continue with the live training and will try to reach a total of 30 miles accumulative by the end of next week. I just hate people who play draft pick or ranked and as soon as they connect to chat they announce their role and think they can play it because they said it first. X(

this is so childish and stupid. I think if you're playing draft or ranked you should, MUST be able to play any role. so shout out to all kids : sit tight, shut it, and W8 FOR YOUR TURN.

these people must play team builder. I mean that's why they built that right? so you're sure about your role.

Seeing my guide consta-fragged is really pretty disheartening. I know people are working on it, and I thank them for their work. I just really hope that it gets fixed soon. It's one of my biggest achievements and took a lot of work getting my Ahri guide to reach #1 on the entire site for a time, and seeing it replaced by the stupid Tristana pic is really nerve-wracking. And although it's very unrealistic, I can't shake the dreaded sensation of my guide perhaps getting wiped completely somehow. I just wanna reach 5M views :\

I'd like to talk a little bit about the Quarter-Final matches.

SSW vs TSM - Even though I've been a TSM fan since Season 1, the reality is that TSM have around a 10% chance of beating White. Sadly, that's just how it is. I still believe they can pull it off but it's gonna be super hard. We'll see what happens. Imagine if TSM win though. It would be insane and amazing.

SSB vs C9 - RIP western teams. As with SSW vs TSM, I'd love to see C9 win but it's probably not gonna happen. I do think C9 have a better shot at beating SSB though. Probably 15%-20%? Imo, SSB are a little bit weaker than SSW and more vulnerable.

EDG vs SHRC - Honestly, SHRC getting 1st in their group should not have happened. Don't get me wrong, they are a solid team. But a few factors played into SHRC getting 1st. TSM playing really dumb and losing in that final match vs SK, as well as teams in Group B not being able to capitalize on SHRC's mistakes. TSM is the only team that managed to do it when they beat SHRC but …

Normally I wouldn't just pick TSM, but IMO I can't find a better example of how a single pick sets the game for a single team. Not meaning that the game is already won in champion select, but that a single pick can get into your mind, making you play poorly.

Yes, yes. I completely understand that Relic Shield is used 99% of the time by Melee Support (ex. Leona, Braum, even Thresh). But after that amazing little '.' it applies everything else.

Since the new 'updated' (Slightly displeased) Soraka being all offensive now after she lost her Passive, Q, W, E, and updated R. Granted R is much better now, I dislike the ability to heal myself without using a Heal. I'm having to try out different builds. Relic shield, is the best one I found, because I have to fight, smack Champs, etc. With Relic Shield, I can now kill minions and not worry about my ADC getting any money.
