[10.15] Burn the jungle

By Mugnas
Pros and Cons

- Great post level 3 clear
- AP champion (better Items)
- High amount of AoE damage
- Low banrate
- carry potential
- good against both squishies and tanks

- ganks are decent at best
- weak early game
- No mobility in his kit
- Squishy
- easy target for assassins
Primary Runes Back to Top
Dark Harvest increases your burst and can also help you too finish your target.

Cheap Shot is the best option here. Sudden Impact is useless and you dont really need Taste of Blood. More burst is always great, even when it's only a small damage increase.

Zombie Ward is the most reliable one to stack and it provides extra vision, while Eyeball Collection just gives you stats and is not reliable. Since you'll want to take Oracle Lens, taking Ghost Poro is useless.

Ravenous Hunter is the best option here, since the others aren't necessarily as good. Your CD on Pyroclasm isn't high and you dont have any important item actives. Relentless Hunter is a good option as well since Brand doesn't have any mobility in his kit.
Secondary Runes Back to Top
Magical Footwear grants you free boots, which also give 10 ms more than normal. The only other viable options would be Cosmic Insight for some CDR (summoners, abilities, items) and Perfect Timing. With that free stopwatch, you save 650 gold. You can take this if you feel you need to rush Zhonya's Hourglass.

If you want to go Sorcery, good options are Gathering Storm for extra AP and Nimbus Cloak for some movement speed after your summoners. This will help you if you want to escape with your flash or smite an enemy to slow them.

Presence of Mind gives you great mana sustain and additional mana. Brand is very mana consuming, this will help you all game long. Coup de Grace helps you finishing your targets.
Itemization Back to Top
Enchantment: Runic Echoes is the only viable enchantment. I choose blue smite over red smite, because the slow is way more useful than the damage reduction from red smite.

The magic penetration makes you deal more damage. The other boots aren't that good on Brand.

This further increases your magic penetration and gives you some health, which makes you a bit tankier. Since Conqueror is pretty strong right now, the healing reduction is nice to have.

As you can probably see, extra health and ap are the core stats for brand. The passives of this item are amazingly good on Brand. They especially help in long fights and/or against tanks.

The magic penetration is only useful if the enemy team stacks MR, so this item is situational.

The damage it provides is amazing. If you would only buy Rabadon's Deathcap , you would still get 168 ap , which is more than double the ap of Liandry's Torment or Morellonomicon. Just keep in mind that the passive doesn't stack and that it doesn't provide any other stat. It is quite expensive too.

If the enemy team has a fed assassin like Zed or Talon, this is basically a must have. If you don't need the stopwatch effect, you can also just buy Seeker's Armguard.

The spellshield can be great against the right champions (e.g. Malzahar). The extra MR is definitely useful too.

The slow can help you either securing a kill or getting out of a sticky situation. The slow also synergizes well with Blaze and Pyroclasm.
FIrst Clear Back to Top
Start at your red with your W, because it deals the most damage. Then head over to your raptors with your E skilled. Set them on fire using your W and then use your E to deal a bit more damage. After that, clear your krugs with the same W into E "combo". That you're level 3, you can easily clear your blue side and top side scuttle.
Post-3 Clear Back to Top
Hit one of the Raptors with Sear and then use Conflagration to spread Blaze and get the increased damage on Pillar of Flame.

Hit the Ancient Krug (the big one) with Sear. Then use Conflagration to get more damage for Pillar of Flame.

You just have to use Conflagration first, since its empowered version doesn't do more damage on single target camps. Your passive will do a lot of damage since it is % max. health damage.

Hit the Greater Murk wolf with Sear, then spread your passive using Conflagration to maximize AoE damage.

Also a single target camp, so use Conflagration first.

Same applies here. Crest of Insight is very useful on Brand since it further increases your mana sustain.

Same as Gromp and the buff camps. Just remember the importance of stunning the Scuttle to make it lose its resistance buff.
