Tips and Tricks for Malphite
-
- Make sure to reset your auto-attack with your W
- Always try to wait for Arcane Comet before you Q someone
- Try to wait for your passive to recharge before trading or tanking damage
- Both your Size and Iceborn Gauntlet scale with armor so make sure to stack it!
Pros
Amazing team fighting
Huge tank
Good lane trading
Great in Low Elo
Cons
Aim reliant with Ult
Not very good with long trades
Must know when and where to Ult
Early Pre 6
To trade as Malphite in early game use your Corruption Potionsand poke from your Q coupled with Arcane Comet and Scorch. Your passive shield and Time Warp Tonic make it very easy for your to win short trades.
Post 6 Trades
Continue trading with your opponent until they are around half, drink a corruption pot and simply ult, ignite, Q, W, E and almost no on can survive that burst.
How To Teamfight
Teamfighting as Malphite is easy in concept as you only have 2 things to do, keep your squishy carrys safe and hit massive ults. To peel for your teamates you must be ready to tank all of the damage. By late game you should have a giant health pool and Warmogs. Try to use Iceborn Gauntlet to slow Assassins diving your back line. And to hit your ult at the right time and place you have to watch out for 2 things. Make sure you know who to ult. Either look for an important carry like a fed Jinx or Kha'Zix. Do this towards the mid game to constantly shut down fed carrys and make them useless. As long as you are diving assassins and making sure your squishies are Okay. Towards the very late game go for 3 to 5 person Ults to have huge sways in the teamfight.
