Introduction
Hi! My name is Marcello, aka as my IGN Solari7. I have been playing Diana since the beginning of season 7 and have played over 500 games of Diana in High elo. I play Diana becuause of the high potential to carry games, especially with her new reworked ult that can wipe a whole team if need be. Overall, I hope you guys enjoy my Diana guide. Crescent Strike




You should use this skill to last hit minions against ranged champs(hard matchups) such as . After casting, you can follow up with Lunar Rush to reset its cooldoawn. I use Crescent Strike on minions so that I can Lunar Rush to it, which brings me closer to the enemy; allowing me to make many plays such as land my Moonfall

Pale Cascade




This skill can sometimes be learned at lvl 1, as it provides a shield to negate some of the early damage when trying to farm. Each sphere that hits an object does magic damage and provides Diana a shield. Use Pale Cascade with Crescent Strike to wave clear minions faster. Once you've mastered how much shield you get, it's easy to bait people into all inning you with Pale Cascade up.

Lunar Rush




This Makes Diana dash to her enemies. remember that enemies that are marked with Crescent Strike resets Lunar Rush's cooldown. You can also use this on minions to get away from your enemies or to get closer to your enemies. A really good tip would be to remember that Lunar Rush places you BEHIND enemy units, which can easily avoid abilities such as Talon's Rake.

Moonfall




This skill pulls enemy units to Diana and slows their movement speed. Always try to use it when you're positioned in the middle of the teamfights since the more people you pull with Moonfall the more damage you deal with it. It also fits with because Moonfall procs Last Breath. A good Diana will use Moonfall to cancel ult casts such as Destiny and Stand United.
Summoner Spells Back to Top
Flash is a must on Diana as youre first summoner spell because it helps Diana position yourself in teamfights to land Moonfall and can be used to gap close to enemies. You can also ANIMATION CANCEL on Diana by using E then flash to cancel the animation on hitting the ground.



Teleport is very good against ranged matchups as it's harder to kill them pre 6 on Diana. Also, teleport adds to Diana's roaming presence on the map and it can be used for backdooring turrets since she destroys towers!



Ignite is preferred vs melee matchups because Diana can easily outrade melee matchups and has a higher kill potentional against them. I recommend ignite in the mid lane just because it allows you to get an easy solo kill early on which allows you to snowball and carry the game much easier.

STEP 1: Cast Q in the middle of Diana(To reduce cast animation)




Step 2: Auto Attack 2 times + Moonsilver Blade(Passive that occurs every 3rd auto)

Early Game


Do you best to farm, especially with the current meta of more mages in mid lane. If you're against a ranged opponent, just freeze the wave on your side of the lane and use autos and Crescent Strike to last hit minions and poke the opposing laner. Pale Cascade is very good to shield the poke they deal to you and should only be used for that purpose in the laning phase. If you're against a melee opponent, you should always win trades, just use Crescent Strike, auto attack twice, then Pale Cascade with your 3rd auto attack to maximize damage, while being defense as well.

Mid Game



During this time, you should have your core items to be dealing damage. You can easily one shot squishies that have no magic resist with your burst combo, unless you're behind which in this case you just play with your team and try to earn as much gold to get more items to get stronger for the team fights and objectives.

Late Game



Focus on killing their carries and getting objectives such as drags, baron, towers, inhibs, etc. By the end of the game, you should have Void Staff to help penetrate the magic resist on the opposing team. Try your best to land Moonfall on as many opponents as you can in team fights! If your team can't win teamfights, split push side lanes and get as many towers as you can without being ganked since you will most likely be over extended. Remember that Diana's passive Moonsilver Blade gives her attack speed, so cast an ability BEFORE 3 auto attacks when hitting towers to make it go down as fast as possible! For example, Crescent Strike 3AA, then Pale Cascade 3AA!

Irelia


One of Diana's worst matchups. The only way to beat Irelia is to go a special build. Rush Morellos and perhaps even get a Ninja Tabis. If you're really good at dodging her E, then Getting Nashor's Tooth wouldn't be too bad to trade auto attacks. When Irelia has five stacks never fight her or you will lose.

Zed


Similar to the Talon matchup. You only need 2 Doran's Ring and Seeker's Armguard to win the matchup. You can get nashors tooth to do more damage with your auto attacks as well to help you win trades easier.

Talon


This Matchup is a skill matchup. All you have to do is rush seekers and nashors tooth. I do think rushing Zhonya's Hourglass is a bit overkill but if you're losing definitly recommend it. The armor from seekers alone and the two Doran's Ring should be enough to counter his burst though.

Leblanc


This matchup favors LeBlanc early but favors Diana late game. It's very easy to kill her because of Diana's Pale Cascade Which it's aoe hits LeBlanc as she's using Distortion to escape.

Cassiopeia


This is a difficult matchup for Diana. There are a couple of ways to beat Cassiopeia...by playing very passive early and setting up ganks for your jungler. A way to beat her ultimate is to use Lunar Rush befure she ulties so that you end up going behind her which allows you to avoid getting turned into stone by her ult.

Neeko


This matchup is all skill. Play back and max your Q to farm the wave from a distance, and to poke Neeko. Try avoiding to dash directly into her because she will root you and deal massive amounts of damage. Instead bait her root out and then go in for the engage.
How to be #1 Diana Back to Top
People underestimate Diana's damage, so you can easily oneshot squishies and even tanks with the right build. The combo I use is:
Auto attack TWO TIMES, Pale Cascade, Crescent Strike, and then followed up by the third auto attack to proc Moonsilver Blade.

Whenever you're in skirmishes with an opponent, make sure that you are always stacking your auto attacks on any target. These targets vary from wards, summons(Voidlling, turrets), and jungle creeps. Try not to waste Pale Cascade as it shows Diana's full burst to the enemy.

For split pushing time your abilities and auto attacks to maximize turret damage. DO NOT CAST your Pale Cascade because the cooldown is extra long if Diana doesn't proc it on any enemies. Only use Crescent Strike and Lunar Rush for split pushing.

Diana Animation Cancel:
You can use Moonfall without having to cast the animation of stabbing the ground. All you have to do is Moonfall+ Flash. This makes it harder for your opponents to react! You can then follow up with a Crescent Strike+ Lunar Rush to gap close on your opposing enemy.
