Level 1

You usually want to start in the enemy top lane lane bush to start, if they walk in, fight them to death.

If they do not show up until minions arrive, just wait until the 3 melee minions are at E kill range, and try to hit e with the enemy champion, auto them till undertower.

If they are Fiora, Darius etc, then start W, auto trade them until kill range, W to outtrade, if they flash your W, flash back to hit your W.

The champ is designed to beat any constant / burst damage champs, so as long as you hit your W you can outtrade them.

Basic Trading with Sett

The champ is designed to win almost any face to face 1v1s.

If you are fighting someone, you want to melee kite them until they are at a same space or they die.

The champ may feel awkward at the start due to its special double auto punch mechanism, so kiting will feel weird first timing the champion.

Basic combo is A A Q Q

I don't recommend using A Q Q since your double autos are fast enough to go through anyways.

E stun W to guarantee your W true damage.

Make sure you use your W when you can guarantee a hit and you think it is appropriate to use to either outtrade or kill or prolong the fight until the next W.

Level 6

Once you have level 6, you have 2 ways of getting on to the enemy champion.

When they give you the range to do so, don't hesitate and go for it and follow the basic trading above.

You can guarantee a true damage W on champs who don't have dashes or have them on CD by ult backwards W ing instantly due to the ult slow.

You can use your R for gap closer to the enemy backline.

Teamfights

You are looking for an engage.

The champ is a beast at engaging a team fight, you usually want to either R or E the most important player on the enemy team, but getting there is the problem with Sett sometimes due to his no dash kit.

You usually would look for a frontliner to shove to the backline more health the better it is, and then you would want to e to hit the e stun.

you could always flash E to get stuns with minions as well.

With the dash on stridebreaker you can actually insec on the champ by R stridebreaker R.

It will always bring the champ towards your team.

After the engage, you would want to punch the hell out of the carry, until you become gold.

And then you W to deal immense amount of damage with your true damage W. If the main target flashes from your W, don't hesitate to flash follow.

The champ is extremely efficient at split pushing, he can destroy towers like there is no tomorrow especially with sanguine blade.

He is able to outpush 5 people sometimes if you are fed enough.

He can do a maximum of about 2500 true damage when you are fully built with mathematically correct Sett build.

Powerspike you get from finishing BORK is HUGE so make sure you abuse it.
