Welcome to my Guide for Caitlyn. I'm Benciak and I main of Botlane role, I especially like to play Lucian or Miss Fortune. My peak elo is Platinum III.I created this guide to make a huge Caitlyn guide for new players. I hope you will learn something about her. Please read the Notes in runes, items and champions threatens / synergies, because I explain there why you should sometimes pick those things over other. I found her really interesting because of her fast burst ability. Caitlyn has big attack range so its really easy to kite enemies on lane. Everything im gonna explain later

Caitlyn Is really strong champion in early game, She can run away from close fights by using her E 90 Caliber Net or fast push line using her Q Piltover Peacemaker which makes many combo that im gonna describe later.

Because of her huge attack range (650) which is the biggest attack range in the game she can poke and kite enemy champions really easily.

Try to play deffensive on lane but remember that you have huge damage, so when your support hit CC or hes trying to play more agressive go ahead and show enemies your damage. Try to hit them with your Headshot which becomes every 6th auto attack and use your W on the edge of the bushes. Or behind enemy turret so enemies cant actually see it.

PILTOVER PEACEMAKER Caitlyn revs up her rifle for 1 second to unleash a penetrating shot that deals physical damage (deals less damage to subsequent targets). It helps you push lane, poke enemies, and its a basic of simple combo like AA + Q + E + AA

Yordle Snap Trap Caitlyn sets a trap to find sneaky yordles. When sprung, the trap reveals and immobilizes the enemy champion for 1.5 seconds, granting Caitlyn an empowered Headshot. Basic combo with this ability is W + Q + A + E + AA it looks complicated but after some training its really easy.

Ace in the Hole Caitlyn takes time to line up the perfect shot, dealing massive damage to a single target at a huge range. Enemy champions can intercept the bullet for their ally. Try to use this ability when your enemy is alone and always use it to actually execute enemy player or to help your teammate in duel. It deals lots of damage because its (300 / 525 / 750 (+ 200% bonus AD)).

Fleet Footwork is the best keystone on Caitlyn right now. It'll give you a nice bit of heal as well as increase your movement speed in fights so you can kite better or run away from fights that you dont want to engage.

Triumph Its life saver in fights. Its really usefull because your build doesnt have healing (You can buy bloodhtrister if you want).Most games as Caitlyn 20g per takedown is huge advantage because of his early game huge advantage of attack range.

Legend: Bloodline I would recommend this rune because of Caitlyn lack of life steal in build. As you can see above, Caitlyn doesnt have items for healing at all. so this rune is needed if you want to stay alive longer and have better laning phase. It stacks up to 9% life steal which is really usefull.

Coup de Grace Because of strong early game it gives lots of damage to enemies who have less than 40% health. Huge burst from Caitlyn + This rune, makes you one shot machine in early and mid game if someone step in your trap. This rune is most important because simply it does most damage in your average game and it works well with your ultimate

Magical Footwear boots in early game are useless on Caitlyn. The bonus 10 movement speed and 300 gold that it saves works well with caitlyn lack of mobility. Watch out in fights to dont go first becasue you wont have oportunity to run away ( your E wont save you from justice)

Biscuit Delivery gonna help you stay on lane for longer. You dont have to worry about mana and you gain bonus healing. You can use your skills more often so you have advantage vs your enemies

Best Caitlyn Items to Counter Jhin

Galeforce Infinity Edge The Collector
The ideal items to prioritize in your Caitlyn versus Jhin build consist of Galeforce, Infinity Edge, and The Collector. When Caitlyn bought at least these three items in her build, she did significantly better vs. Jhin than with many other common builds. In fact, Caitlyn boasted an average winrate of 59.8% when playing against Jhin with these items in her kit. You can actually read about this items in items explanation at the top.

The stat comparisons provided here show several critical Caitlyn against Jhin counter stats that can help us understand the differences between this pair of champions. As an example, Caitlyn’s KDA ratio ([kills + assists] / deaths) of 2.2 is worse than Jhin’s KDA ratio of 3.0, indicating that Caitlyn may be less central to her team's team fighting capability,capacity,effectiveness,potential than Jhin..

Caitlyn typically has a similar longest kill spree as her enemy,opponent,foe,counter,matchup does. On average, she takes a similar amount of damage to Jhin. This is usually reflective of differing health capacities; however, it can also show that the one champ has less mobility and thus is unable to kite away from further harm when engaged or poked.

In Caitlyn vs Jhin matchups, Caitlyn often totals a similar number of minion kills than Jhin. Champs who on average do not amass very much CS normally do not have to have much CS to be helpful to their team in LoL. Instead, they are able to scale easily off of their abilities alone. However, champions with scores of minion kills, such as ADCs, typically must have a lot of items to be useful. In either case, work to exceed the averages shown here to do well.
