Rammus' taunt will basically fck you up. You won't be able to kite and you won't be able to use your W or E.
Big counter for twitch, as he can fight you anytime he wants to throughout the game. Ban him or Rammus if possible.
Malzahar's ultimate is really your biggest counter if you don't get QSS, make sure to only reveal yourself after he has used his ultimate.
Sejuani has got A LOT of CC which counters you hard. Buy mercury's treads against her
Care for Jax's stun. If he goes all in on you, you might be dead.
Amumu has a lot of potential to go all in on you, which possibly gets you killed. Don't reveal yourself before his CC is gone
Don't reveal yourself before he has used his E. It can fck you up pretty good.
Just wait for his knockup comboto be gone, then go in.
Wait for him to engage, then reveal yourself. Don't fight him early game
He can oneshot you. Don't try to fight him
May the best kiter win
Wait for him to engage, then go attack him. Should be an easy kill as he is so squishy
Wait for him to engage on another or at least for his ult to be down. It is pretty unpredictable who or when he is going to use it and teleport right to you and kill you
Don't fight him, he can oneshot you
Skarner is kind of tricky. If you can kite him off you're good to go, but if he's ahead you should never fight him. He can oneshot you
Udyr is extremely strong, don't fight
Overall overpowered champion. She can fight each and every champion in the game, especially Twitch.
Volibear's a unit. Don't fight him, unless you are ahead.
Wait for him to engage then go. He can oneshot you
Wait for his ult, then engage, then fight. His CC will get you killed.
Xin Zhao's ultimate makes you unable to damage him, while standing outside of it. Attack other people when Xin Zhao has his ult active.
Run. Run. Run. He has so much CC and you're easily caught off guard. If he hits you with his q and you're close to something like a minion, ally, ward or turret he can get that tiny knock up on you, which will then lead to an ult right into their team. You will get focused, simply because you're their main threat, when you get ahead. Twitch is easy to shut down, as his Q is rather easy to detect and you're SUPER squishy.
If you try to gank a draven, chances are, that you're gonna lose. His Q damage is so busted and there's not really a counterplay
A really tanky champion with an ability to duel like no other. His taunt, Q and W makes him one of the best fighters in the game. His ult is also something you don't always have in mind.
Lulu has the strongest synergy with Twitch, as she can shield you, give you movement speed, give you attack speed, empower your basic attacks, give you max hp, make you big xd, all of this together with Ardent Censer and Zeke's Convergence is just GG, 2 man carry.
Nami is strong with Twitch. She can heal, empower basic attack and peel for you like a god. Make sure she buys ardent censer, so you will get that buff as well. 2v5
Kayle toplane with Twitch jungle is a strong duo. She can shield, give movement speed, make you unable to take damage, as well as slowing the enemies for you. If she buys Ardent Censer, it will be even better. Unfortunately, Kayle will be reworked very soon, which will take this opportunity away from you. Abuse it while you can.
Janna toplane/support also works really well with Twitch, as she can shield, heal, empower your basic attacks, slow the enemies. Again, all this combined with Ardent Censer is really great.
As well as all the other synergies, soraka can empower you, which makes you able to 2v5. She can heal, heal, heal, heal, heal and together with Ardent Censer it's really great
Morgana is a decent synergy to Twitch. Her black shield applies Ardent Censer, but she can't help with much other than that.
Kinda good, as leona has A LOT of stun, making the enemies unable to get in your face.
Zilean can keep you alive with movement speed, slowing the enemies, and free Guardian Angel as well. No Ardent Censer Synergy.
Karma toplane/support/midlane works evenly well, as she just has to get some support items items (Ardent Censer, Zeke's Convergence and Knight's Vow).

Twitch has always been one of my favourite junglers/adc's in the game. He is a stealthy little rat, how cool is that? Twitch is a heavy attack speed reliant ranged carry, with huge unexpected burst if ahead. He is able to make easy ganks as well as hard carry games. I haven't really reached any achievements on Twitch yet, other than high mastery point score. I was rank 900 Twitch world at one point, but nothing really worth talking a lot about, as I got carried by my duo partner xd. Let's just get started, right?
*NOTE*: English is not my primary langauge, so please excuse me if any mistakes gets made. Thanks :)
This guide focuses on:
- Pros / Cons
- Team Fights
- Early Game
- Mid Game
- Late Game
A plague rat by birth, a connoisseur of filth by passion, Twitch is a paranoid and mutated rat that walks upright and roots through the dregs of Zaun for treasures only he truly values. Armed with a chem-powered crossbow, Twitch is not afraid to get his paws dirty as he builds a throne of refuse in his kingdom of filth, endlessly plotting the downfall of humanity.
H.I.V.E. Incident Report
Code Violation: Industrial Homicide
Casefile Status: Unsolved
Investigating Agent: Rol, P.
Team responded to report of suspicious character, criminal activity; proceeded to Sump Works, Sector 90TZ. Sector 90TZ notably absent. In its place: sinkhole, smoke, noxious fumes. Interviews with private security indicate urgent need for better private security.
Response team entered sinkhole. Toxic runoff had melted away building wreckage. Two survivors located, one partially liquefied and dripping off catwalk. Six deceased bodies found among wreckage, three of them partial; two appear to predate incident. Causes of death include acute deceleration, caustic liquidation, and/or fatal crossbow wounds. Unclear if lab's destruction was itself the perpetrator's motive or an attempt to cover tracks.
Survivor #1 (Ra Qintava, facility researcher) brought up for interview, but unable to provide statement due to 1) post-traumatic stress and 2) liquefaction of tongue and lower jaw. Awaiting toxin screen and prosthesis fitting.
Search-and-rescue discovered apparent shantytown constructed from refuse. Recovered items include:
57 waterlogged romance novels, illegible, with edits made in crayon
108 bottles, unlabeled (possible toxic runoff or discarded shampoo remnants)
200 pounds chewing gum (possible installation art project)
1 jar toenails, labeled by toe/finger, date, and mood
Survivor #2 (Valori Olant, Sludge Analyst) in recovery; regained lucidity following prolonged therapeutic electrocution. Statement transcript excerpt follows:
V.O.: GOT TO DO SOMETHING -
NURSE: She's lost so much blood --
P.R.: Her co-workers lost a lot more than that --
V.O.: IT'S STILL OUT THERE!
P.R.: Ma'am, I need you to focus. Tell me what he looked like.
V.O.: LIKE A RAT! (pause)
NURSE: Like a what?
P.R.: You mean, small? Beady-eyed? Sorta rat-faced -- ?
V.O.: I MEAN IT LOOKED LIKE A GIANT GODSDAMNED RAT! (pause). WITH A CROSSBOW! (pause).
P.R.: (to nurse) Can we moderate her painkillers?
V.O.: YOU'RE NOT LISTENING! IT'S A HOMICIDAL, PSYCHOPATHIC, GIANT FREAKING RAT!
IN A WAISTCOAT!
NURSE: (injecting Olant's arm with sedative) On it.
V.O.: We were just scientists, working on refining human waste into inexpensive baby formula... [EDIT] I saw - I don't know how else to - this crazed, enormous RAT - screaming at us! Kicking over vats! Spitting on our food! [EDIT] The lab was sealed. Industrial waste was spilling everywhere. Nowhere to run. [EDIT] I woke up in the dark. Well, the acid had melted my eyeballs. I could SMELL the twitchy bastard inches from my face. It said, “NOBODY STEALS TWITCH'S JUICE!” cackled wildly, and skittered off... I can still smell it in my mind. OH MY GODS, I CAN STILL SMELL IT-
End transcript. At this point victim began screaming; has yet to stop.

H.I.V.E - Enforcing Progress!
As you can above, Twitch sounds really cool, right?
On the second hand, Press the Attack is also an option to take when playing twitch in the jungle. Press the Attack gives a lot of early burst, when ganking level 2 after red buff, and it's also the best replacement for Lethal Tempo, for those who aren't as secure on their own kiting skills as an individual.
+ High mobility with Ambush
+ Can slow with Venom Cask
+ High outplay-potential by kiting
+ Attack speed steroid
+ Can go invisible with Ambush
+ Boosting-strategy potential
+ Extremely strong late-game
+ Extremely strong early gank potential
Twitch is a great pick in solo queue. He is an easy champion to solo carry with, as he can fight most champions 1v1 throughout most of the game basically. Also, Twitch is one of the "Right Click Champions", which makes him easy to play. Twitch is also one of the, if not the best late-game ADC in the game, as he has a lot of burst on the enemy team and he deals an insane amount of damage to tanks as well. He is great at escaping one-shot-carries from the enemy team if you have red buff, which you most likely will have most of the game.
- Bad early game
- Vulnerable to binds/slows
- Needs kills or assists early game
- Short ranged without ult
- Easily killed by chain CC
- Easily falls behind when destroyed in the jungle
- Takes a lot of practice to master
As per all champions, Twitch has his strengths, and his weaknesses. Compared to other ADCs/Junglers, Twitch's late game can be considered extremely strong, if ahead. Well it's hard to get back in the game if behind from early game. Twitch can be destroyed easily by CC, which is pretty hard to do anything against, unless you have Quicksilver Sash. A lot of people have a bad mindset when playing Twitch. Many people think they are "RatIRL" or any other Twitch god, which makes it really easy for the player to overestimate him/herself, thinking they can go 1v5. Also, you need to be really good at kiting to play Twitch well. Make sure you get that on point are at least try, because otherwise, you will get melted basically.
Twitch's basic attacks infect the target, dealing true damage each second.
Twitch becomes Camouflaged for a short duration and gains Movement Speed. When leaving Camouflage, Twitch gains Attack Speed for a short duration.
When an enemy champion with Deadly Venom dies, Ambush's cooldown is reset.
Twitch becomes Camouflaged and gains 10% Movement Speed for 10/11/12/13/14 seconds. This bonus triples when he is nearby an enemy champion that cannot see him. Twitch gains 30/35/40/45/50% Attack Speed for 5 seconds after exiting Ambush. Ambush resets when a champion dies while affected by Deadly Venom.
Stealth - Camouflage: Twitch is hidden from view while enemy champions remain outside his detection radius. Attacking or casting spells ends Camouflage.
Twitch hurls a cask of venom that explodes in an area, slowing targets and applying deadly venom to the target.
Twitch hurls a cask that adds a stack of Deadly Venom to all enemies struck and leaves behind a toxic cloud that persists for 3 seconds.Enemies that remain within the cloud have 25/30/35/40/45% reduced Movement Speed and receive an additional stack of Deadly Venom each second.
Twitch wreaks further havoc on poisoned enemies with a blast of his vile diseases.
Deals 20/30/40/50/60 physical damage plus 15/20/25/30/35 (+20% Ability Power) (+0) per stack of Deadly Venom to all nearby enemies affected by Deadly Venom.
Twitch unleashes the full power of his crossbow, shooting bolts over a great distance that pierce all enemies caught in their path.
For 5 seconds Twitch gains 300 Attack Range and 20/30/40 Bonus Attack Damage. For the duration, his basic attacks become piercing bolts that deal 20% less damage to subsequent targets, down to a minimum of 40% damage.
Stealth - Camouflage: Activating Spray and Pray does not end Camouflage.
