Introduction

Oh hello! I decided to make this guide because I really liked playing him on Support and decided to make this guide after 1372131 years of thinking if I should. So here it comes! Oh, also I give scalings of max hp or armor MR etc.

Abilities

Passive:

Galio's next basic attack deals 12 - 80 (based on level) +100% AD +50 AP +40% of your bonus Magic Resistance total magic damage to its target and all enemies around it.

Additionally its cooldown is reduced by 4 seconds every time Galio hits a unique enemy champion with an ability

Winds of War:

Galio fires two windblasts that arc to either side before converging to the target area, dealing magic damage to all enemies they pass through.

When the blasts meet, the gusts form a tornado that advances for 1.5 seconds, dealing magic damage every 0.5 seconds to every enemy within. Scalings for the tick damage are +20% AP +1% per 100 AP of target's maximum health

with the target's health ratio capped at 150 damage against monsters.

Shield of Durand:

Galio gains a shield that exclusively absorbs magic damage, refreshing after not taking damage for 12 seconds. (8-20% of his maximum health)

FIRST CAST: Galio charges for up to 2 seconds, increasing Shield of Durand's radius, damage and taunt's duration. Galio can still move and takes reduced damage, but is slowed by 30%. (+5% reduction per 100 AP and +8% reduction per 100 Magic Resistance)

Shield of Durand cannot be interrupted by crowd control.

SECOND CAST: Galio refreshes his own damage reduction for 2 seconds, taunts nearby enemies and sets their movement speed to a static 60 MS. (0.5-1.5 seconds duration based on charge time)

Affected enemies take magic damage, increased by 0%-200%. (based on charge time)

Justice Punch:

Galio briefly dashes backwards before charging forward, stopping upon hitting terrain or an enemy champion, dealing magic damage to all enemies hit and knocking them up for 0.75 seconds.

Hero's Entrance:

Galio designates the target allied champion's location at the time of cast as his landing spot, channels for 1.25 seconds, and then dashes to them, reducing the damage they take until he lands. (20-30% damage reduction) (+8% per 100 bonus Magical Resistance)

Upon impact, Galio deals magic damage to all nearby enemies and knocks them up for 0.75 seconds, increased to 1.25 seconds at the center of the impact zone.

Team Work

If at least 2 of your teammates are there ult into the battle and use your W+E to help, even more, you'll win if your teammates aren't sleeping.

You can flash while holding W so you can use this to do some tricky fight starts (like over walls or just W'ing while nothing is happening and suddenly engaging etc.)

Your W cannot be interrupted by crowd control so don't be afraid your taunt will go to waste.

In lane you should always seek for the E+W+Q+Ignite ambushes inside brushes that'll give you and your ADC a great laning time.

Since we won't be upgrading Q till late and we have Biscuit Delivery, you should always poke opponents with your Q

Pros / Cons

  • Great scaling

  • Great engager

  • Great CC

  • Can punish mistakes HARD in lane or outside lane

  • You can smash

  • If you are going more of a tank, you won't be solo killing players with brain

  • High cooldowns until you get items

  • Can't really protect anyone with a shield/heal

There are indeed more cons but I really can't think right now because of eating 1 kilograms of icecream

Ranked Play

This was once not recommended but after seeing it work... It will not be that hard to make it work in ranked.

Summary

He can S M A S H and he can make a badass entrance against the cucks trying to kill your teammates. Overall? He is the best Colossus you can ever meet.

I won't be adding additional details until some kind of big change comes to the meta and itemization so here it is "updated" for 9.7
