Hey guys, my name is TreeHarder and welcome to my Vayne Guide. I´m currently a Diamand Vayne onetrick on my highest account [37wins/11loses 5.04 KDA] and the question you may ask if you first see my build is "Is this really a good/viable build? And in this guide im trying to answer this question.
In my opinion this build is even better than the original [IE/Statiks] build.

Pros and Cons to the Classic Build


if performed well 0.3k - 0.7k more dps
high lifesteal [around 35%]
good against mages [can have high magic resist]
you can kill everyone with 6 rageblade stacks [Crit ADCs...]
the enemiess need magic resist and armor to counter you effective
destroys tanks very fast
mixed dmg [magic, true and physical]
after every item a powerspike
more true dmg with rageblade
better in Ardent Cencer Meta


more difficult
it has a diffrent play style [more in the backline and not a assasine(but with 6 stacks]
you need to know when you have to recall otherwise you ll maybe have 500 gold which you can´t spend efficient
You can´t fight a crit adc without 6 stacks

Night Hunter [Passive]

Vayne ruthlessly hunts evil-doers, gaining 30 movement speed when moving toward nearby enemy champions.

Tumble [Q]

Range: 300

Vayne rolls a short distance, and deals 0.3/0.35/0.4/0.45/0.5 bonus physical damage on her next basic attack within 7 seconds.Tumble's bonus damage is equal to 50/55/60/65/70% of Vayne's total attack damage.

Silver Bolts [W]

Cost: No Cost
Every third consecutive attack or ability against an enemy deals an additional 4/6/8/10/12% of the enemy's maximum health as true damage [ no less than 50/65/80/95/110 ]. Silver Bolts deals no more than 200 damage against monsters.

Condemn [E]

Cooldown: 20/18/16/14/12
Cost: 90 Mana
Range: 550
Fires a bolt that knocks back a target and deals 45/80/115/150/185 (+0.5) physical damage.If the target collides with terrain, the damage is increased to 0.5 and the target is stunned for 1.5 seconds.Condemn's damage is increased by 100% if the target collides with terrain.

Final Hour [R]

Cooldown: 100/85/70
Cost: 80 Mana

Vayne gains 30/50/70 bonus attack damage and improvements to Night Hunter and Tumble for 8/10/12 seconds. The duration of Final Hour is extended by 4 seconds whenever a champion damaged by Vayne dies within 3 seconds.Night Hunter: Vayne instead gains 90 movement speed. Tumble: Vayne will also gain Invisibility for 1 second when she Tumbles. Stealth - Invisible: Vayne can only be revealed by nearby enemy Turrets or True Sight.Final Hour's duration can't be increased beyond its original maximum duration.

Taking 3 Greater Quintessence of Attack Speed are the go-to Quintessence on pretty much every ADC right now. They synergise especially well with Vayne as it helps to proc her Silver Bolts. You used to take Greater Quintessence of Life Steal but since they got nerfed you manly pick Greater Quintessenceof Attack Speed

Taking 9 Greater Mark of Attack Damage allows Vayne to last hit more easily, trade more in her favour, getting easier lasthits, and be generally stronger, particularly early in the game.

Taking 9 Greater Seal of Armor is very strong on any Marksman. Flat armor will increase your survivability, especially early game.

Taking 9 Greater Glyph of Magic Resist provides you with helpful magic resistance very early on. This will reduce your damage taken from not only enemy supports, but also from other ADCs who deal magic damage

Blade of the Ruined King is a core itemon vayne on Vayne. It synergises well with her ulti [R] her Tumble [Q] her whole kit and is a very reliable item. It also gives attack speed, lifesteal, and Attack Damage which is essential on Vayne

Rageblade synergises also very well with her kit, her Silver Bolts [W] (because with 6 Rage Blade stacks every second auto attack trigger her Silver Bolts [W} twice) and Blade of the Ruined King.

Berserker´s Graves are the best shoes for vayne it gives 45 movment speed and 35% attack speed which is for 1100 gold VERY good

[ Bloodthirster ] is a perfect item when they have a mixed dmg team if not it´s stil a very good defesive item, which can make you unkillable if you are fed

[ Wit´s End ] if they have 2 or more APC you can go Wit´s End
also good against thornmail

[ Frozen Melon ] is also a viable defensive item and it´s great for increasing your kiting potential. This item is optimal to build if you aren't receiving the red buffs, or your team is lacking peel for you. It also gives 700 Hp and 30 AD

[ Lord Dominik´s and Mortal Reminder ] Lord Domeniks if they have armor and no healing

[ Maw of Malmortius ] If they have 2 or more magic champs u want go [Maw]but it´s also good against thornmail and brings a bit DMG, magic resist, CD and the PASSIVES

[ Guardian Angel ] was changed in the middle of Season 7 to cater to AD champions specifically. It´s now a more offensive Item, it´s cheap and is well suited to the ADC role, it´s an effective item in some situations, because it can give you a second chance and while Guardian Angel is up it´s harder to assasinate you

[ Mercurial Scimitar ] is a difficult item because u need to time it right but vs many teams it´s very effectives and rewarding

Summonar Spells

Heal is the main summoner spell to compliment Flash. The 30% movement speed bonus it provides is very helpful in both escaping and pursuing, and the fact that it lets you heal a team-mate makes it a very strong option on a Duo Lane. Heal is an overall better option than Barrier.

Barrier is another viable summoner spell on any ADC (but you manly take it if the support takes heal). It is easy to use and very effective. The shield provided will help you survive strong bursts or simply help you stay alive longer in a fight. It´s has the advantage to heal that it doesn´t get effect by ignite and
Grievous Wounds

Cleanse is a very situational summoner spell, but has potential to be viable. I would only recommend taking Cleanse in the current meta if the enemy team AND bot lane is very CC focused. However, having Cleanse will almost always significantly reduce your all-in potential in the early game. This makes it harder to capitalise on things such as reaching level 2 before your lane opponents.

Flash should be taken 100% of the time on any ADC as it is currently an irreplaceable summoner spell. The mobility it offers for both offensive and defensive situations makes it an essential part of your kit.

Unique Skills

There are some Unique Skills with Vayne you should master to succussed with her

The Condem Flash: WHILE your [E] is channeling you can Flash to change the way the enemies will fly (This is way quicker than Flashing and then condemming). If you flash too late the enemy will fly as if you haven´t flashed. !!It´s not hard to execute choosing when to use this move now that's the hard part!!. [(Tipp) you can Condem the enemy out of the stealth to make it even harder to react]

The Auto Attack Reset: This is not a hard mechanic but you still need to master this to not cancle your auto attack and to get the quickest auto attack cancle as possible

Other Skills/Tipps

Dodging is not a Unique Skill but it´s so important especially on Vayne because you have 550 range and if you get hit one time from a snair you are already dead

Your Condemn adds another stack of your Silver Bolts. This means that you can auto-attack, use Tumble and then your Condemn to pull off a fast combo which deals good damage as well as pushing your enemy away, reducing their chance to trade damage back. However, using this method a lot during laning phase will chew through your mana very quickly.

Condemn can stun enemies off player-made terrain such as Cataclysm and Crystallize.

Vayne's stealth provided by combing her Final Hour and Tumble is an EXTREMELY useful tool. After your stealth activates do not take the auto attack straight away again. Instead, use this time to position yourself well. The stealth also allows you move unpredictably, helping you to dodge skill shots, suprise enemies, and position yourself to pull off a stunning Condemn.

Early Game

Vayne's early laning phase is particularly weak. This is undoubtedly her weakest stage of the game (but you can still win laning phase pretty hard). During early laning phase avoid trading too often as unless you can either pull off a good Condemn which stuns the enemy or manage to get off a quick proc of your Silver Bolts. Since the 7.19 Patch Vayne´s [Q] Tumble got a slight Patch which results in that you can get good trades if you can manage to get 3 quick auto attacks off. With lvl 6 a good Vayne player can fight the most botlanes

Positioning and the right focus in teamfight

Your job as adc especially as Vayne is to wait for the teamfight to start and destroy the enemie`s frontline as much u can. Manly attack the closest targets and try to finish someone off before switching the target focus on one target. You also can try to go for a quick kill on their ADC or APC if they have a bad positining but be sure you have a backup like Janna. Try to get as much Silver Bolts off as you can. For using your ult I recommend popping it as soon as you can deal damage but try to get the kill or assist for the 4 second extra ulti. Your mechanics and positioning with Tumble [Q] will be important here always try to reset ur auto attack with your [Q]. If there is a assasine trying to kill you can use your ulty [R] and Tuble [Q] to escape or try to stun him with your condem [E] [You also can do a Flash Condem)

Vayne is Marksman who has a relativly weak early game, but when played correctly she becomes an incredible late game God. Her high DPS and high mobility combined makes her the perfect late game and (if fed) mid game Carry
