Pros / Cons
Pros:
-yi is fun to play
-huge damage
-great pusher
-easy to learn
-late gamer
-high mobility
Cons:
-very squishy
-need items to be strong
-sucks in big teamfights (unless very very fed)
Runes
Mark of Attack Damage for your damage, Seal of Armor for defense, Glyph of Magic Resist for early mr but you can also use Glyph of Scaling Magic Resist for alternatives.... And for other choices you can replace Mark of Attack Damage with Mark of Attack Speed and quints of attack speed with quint of attack speed
Masteries
Skill Sequence
i decided to max the
Alpha Strike first because it really makes a lot of damage and Wuju Style second because its his second basic damage and max Meditate last because it does not help you much for ad yi
starting items
you can also start with
Boots+3 Health Potionsfor safer laning then for your first recall
upgrade your boots to
Berserker's Greavesor
Mercury's Treads for more defense
If your confident in your lane you're
going to want to do some damage.
Doran's Bladereturns life (HP) on hit,allowing trades
core items
Phage for the slow and later upgrade to frozen mallet and Infinity Edge is also one of your core items it really does a lot of damage and critical and then buy Phantom Dancer for your attack speed and split pushing but if you decide to push later and just win teamfights then buy Statikk Shiv instead and for your life steal buy Bloodthirster for split pushing and BOTRK Blade of the Ruined King for teamfights

Warmog's Armor and also by upgrading your Phage into Frozen Mallet
situational items
Warmog's Armor into GA Guardian Angel its a really nice item because it gives you a second life but i still like Warmog's Armor for my defense and also buy Last Whisper if the other team has a lot of armor like Garen, Malphite their are also other items like Black Cleaver, Ravenous Hydra
