Hello there.
This is my humble Samira guide, from a Samira main to you guys, I have gathered mostly anything I know about Samira that might be helpful to new Samira mains in this guide and I hope you guys find it helpful, If you want to message me about anything go ahead to my Discord @Nooraldeen#0085
I will try my best to keep this guide updated and always improve it with feed back of the community and from playing Samira my self hopefully making this guide the first resort for any new Samira main to gather all the intel they need to master this lovely champion.

+ A fun rewarding champion to play
+ One of the strongest ADCs in the game to solo carry
+ Can single handedly win a teamfight if played well
+ Strong follow-up on engager supports
+ Really mobile and fast champion, with flashy combos
+ She can easily snowball a kill into a lead into a win
+ Ult has no CD & Wild Rush Resets on kills.

Samira is a fun rewarding champion, easy to play hard to master but mastering her will be very rewarding, she is the kind of champion to snowball off of 1 kill and win the whole game if played well, she also has one of the biggest out play potentials out of all ADCs in the game, she can pull off and win a whole team fight by her self if played correctly. Her flashy out play style that is filled with combos is so refreshing and fun to play making her one of the most fun ADCs in the game.
CONS
- Falls off late game in compare to other ADCs
- Hard to come back into the game with if lost lane
- Can be easily out ranged by most ADCs
- She can be weak against CC heavy team comps
- Hard to master
- She needs to snowball early game
- Cannot cast Inferno Trigger without combos.

While Samira is one of the most rewarding champions to master in the ADC role she still have her downsides, most of which being how she can be out ranged by all ADCs except for Lucian and how weak she is against CC heavy team comps which if you are against one you either get a huge lead or you are utterly useless in teamfights, not to mention how if you fail with one step in your combo you fail to get your Inferno Trigger off which causes you to die unless fed. As a snowball champion she performs poorly when behind and lacking gold, since her build is very expensive.

PASSIVE ABILITY
Daredevil Impulse
First pasive: Style. Damaging basic attacks and abilities against at least one enemy champion different from the previous damaging hit made against champions grants Samira a Style stack for 6 seconds, up to 6 stacks. The duration refreshes on subsequent damaging attacks and abilities against enemy champions. The stack count is represented by the grades E, D, C, B, A, S to the left of her health bar for Samira herself, and a stack counter underneath the bar that is visible to all players.

Samira gains 0% − 21% (based on Daredevil Impulse Style grade) bonus movement speed.

Second passive: Samira's basic attacks against targets in 200 range use her blade, becoming non-projectile. Basic attacks on-hit with the blade and Blade Whirl, Wild Rush, and the slash and explosives of Flair deal 2 − 19 (based on level) (+ 10% bonus AD) bonus magic damage, increased by 0% − 100% (based on target's missing health).

Third passive:, Samira's basic attacks against immobilized enemies deal the attack's damage over 6 attacks in 0.5 seconds and knock up the target for 0.5 seconds. This causes her basic attack timer to reset and the attack to become unstoppable. If the target is not within attack range, Samira will quickly dash into it from a certain distance and then attack. This effect cannot occur on the same target more than once every few seconds.
  • Since ascending grades grants bonus MS, use the extra mobility to chase kills or escape fights as necessary.
  • Grades reset upon casting Inferno Trigger.
  • Your dash range increases based on level.
  • The empowered attack can critically strike. On-hit effects are only applied once.
  • Use the Third passive to get kills in lane when your support hits a stun.
Q
Flair
Samira fires a shot in the target direction, dealing physical damage to the first enemy it hits. If a targetable enemy is in front of Samira at the time of starting the cast, she will slash with her blade instead, dealing the same damage to all enemies hit in a cone.
  • Casting Flair during Wild Rush will cause Samira to deploy explosives along her path which detonate upon the end of the dash, dealing the same damage to enemies within the covered distance.
  • This^^ can be done while performing Blade Whirl or Samira ultimate Inferno Trigger despite Flair being disabled during them.
  • Melee Q Flair deals more damage and heals more.
  • You heal upon every enemy hit with your melee Q Flair so try to attack the minions along side enemies in lane if possible.
  • You can Q > Flash to animation cancel your Q and make it faster if you are chasing down a kill and looking to extend Q range.
W
Blade Whirl
Samira slashes around herself twice over 1.25 seconds, the first slash occurring immediately and the second being performed 0.25 seconds before the duration ends, each one dealing physical damage to nearby enemies.
E
Wild Rush
Samira dashes in the direction of the target allied or enemy unit and slashes all enemies in her path, dealing magic damage and gaining bonus attack speed for 3 seconds.
  • Takedowns on enemy champions reset Wild Rush's Cooldown.
  • You can cast Flair during Wild Rush if you cast it along side and it will detonates everything that you go past.
  • You can cast Wild Rush during both Blade Whirl and Inferno Trigger to make your self more mobile during them.
  • E Wild Rush on the enemy before flashing to make the animation smoother.
  • Hitting two opponents with E Wild Rush will count if you weave W Blade Whirl in between the E Wild Rush hits.
  • You can double E Wild Rush by casting E Wild Rush before an enemy dies.
  • One thing to keep in mind is how Samira’s E Wild Rush works. Samira’s E Wild Rush will always use the full distance. So, if you use it in melee range on an enemy it’ll shoot you right past them. If you use it from far then most of the time the E Wild Rush will bring you right on top of them instead of flying away/past them.
R
Inferno Trigger
Samira unleashes a torrent of shots from her weapons, rapidly shooting at all nearby enemies every 0.2 seconds over 2 seconds, slowing herself by 30% and dealing physical damage with each shot.

FLASH
Its a necessity, almost every champion in the game takes it and it will help to make plays happen, chase down kills, survive ganks and much more.
HEAL
If the enemy lacks burst and don't have very threatening CC then go for Heal, it will help both you and your support, can come in clutch sometimes
EXHAUST
The biggest reason this summoner spell is now a days favored by many ADC players is the fact almost everything in the game this season will one shot you. having this summoner spell will help you 1v1, kite, escape, or even kill the enemy assassins/bruisers/etc is invaluable.
CLEANSE
This is a rare summoner spell which you'll take if there's CC in the botlane that cannot be avoided with just side-stepping. Good examples would be Leona, Cassiopeia, Veigar and Ashe.

  • KEYSTONE
  • Conqueror: Samira's strongest rune. Damage+healing is good and she stacks it super fast using her ultimate, there isnt any keystone that works better than Conqueror on Samira.
  • MAJOR RUNE
  • Triumph is the best choice for Samira here in my opinion, however all of the runes in this row are good depending on situation and preference, if you are having mana problems then run Presence of Mind, if you want more sustain and big sheild of healing then use Overheal
  • MAJOR RUNE
  • Legend: Bloodline is the best choice for Samira here, the healing is just unmatched and she scales really well with it
  • MINOR RUNE
  • Taste of Blood: Gives nice healing and heals more the later into the game you are. the best choice in here, Sudden Impact does not improve the damage by a lot so its not worth it.

Starter Items

Great starting item for Samira go Doran's Blade in almost all of your matches, as long as you want to fight in lane or you want kill pressure you need Doran's Shield, but if you just wanna live thru the laning phase and try to just farm then there is better choices.
Doran's Shield is the best item for you if you just wanna farm and play without fighting the enemy team, or if you just wanna survive laning phase or if you are up against a hard matchup.
Do not forget to buy one.

Core Items


Infinity Edge

Bloodthirster

Essence Reaver
This three items are Samira's core Infinity Edge will be the item you rush 90% of the time the crit and the damage is just needed for Samirayou can build a Vampiric Scepter if you are behind in lane and can't buy Infinity Edge's items, Bloodthirster is the best healing item and it's a core item on Samira because of how well it interacts with your abilites your Q Flair and your ultimate Inferno Trigger both apply 100% lifesteal, as for Essence Reaver its basically the best crit item for Samira currently, because Samira does not need attack speed along side the crit, and most other crit items give attack speed which is utterly useless on Samira the CDR will help you make faster combos in team fights and pulling off more insane plays while also helping you with your mana problems.

Bloodthirster VS Death's Dance

Bloodthirster
VS

Death's Dance
Bloodthirster gives the most healing in this game, and since both ur Q Flair and your ultimate Inferno Trigger apply 100% lifesteal its a must on Samira it will make you an unkillable machine This item will be the most helpful when you need extra armor or magic resist, or there is a lot of enemy champions that can burst you down fast, THIS ITEM DOES NOT GIVE MORE HEALING THAN Bloodthirster.

Boot Choices


-OR-
Ninja Tabi > Armor
This is the best item to buy for some armor if the enemy team is filled with AD champions, or if you just want an extra armor to help you against their assassin, or if their champions rely on auto attacks a lot
Mercury's Treads > Tenacity
There are games when you are being caught out by CC and you haven't taken Cleanse for whatever reason, or if you're getting destroyed by ability power damage. Grab these boots instead of Ninja Tabi for the tenacity and magic resist.
Boots of Swiftness > Standard
This is the go to boots if you dont know which boots to build, Berserker's Greaves is not really useful on Samira since she does not need attack speed at all and she does not scale with it.

Situational Items

Executioner's Calling
Rush this item into any heal heavy bot lane, or game in the case of bot lane always build this against champions like Soraka and Yuumi this item crushes them and make them utterly useless as champions, as for late game buy it into champions such as Sylas or Aatrox as they have a lot of healing in their kit, consider upgrading it as ur 4th 5th item, DO NOT RUSH THE UPGRADE.


Last Whisper
A great item to buy if you notice the enemy team stacking armor up, consider upgrading it to whichever final form will help you the most. Mortal Reminder for anti-healing and Lord Dominik's Regards for more armor shredding.


Black Cleaver
This item is more on the defensive + offensive item for mid-late game. It's a mixture of Armor pen, AD, CDR, and health. All of these stats are useful to a champion like Samira, This isn't an item you'll be building super often as it takes time to apply the stacks, BUT if you have a team comp of mostly AD champions or ALL AD champions then Black Cleaver will be applied fully to everyone when you use your ultimate! So, if you manage to get a really good ultimate Inferno Trigger with Black Cleaver then it can massively boost the amount of damage from all AD sources.

Maw of Malmortius
Provides AD, MR, and CDR with a magic shield and lifeline passive that gives you additional AD as well as spell vamp + lifesteal if you get low. Great into AP heavy team comps or into burst AP assassins such as LeBlanc, Do not build this item along side Phantom Dancer because their passives do not stack up.


Mercurial Scimitar
Lifesteal item which provides an active to remove CC and a speeds you up by 50% for 1 second. Build this item against CC heavy team comps, or champions that have undodgeable stuns such as Twisted Fate, also build this item against Mordekaiser as it allows you to get out of his ultimate.


Guardian Angel
Considering you're going to want to be aggressive and because of your ultimate and playstyle you'll often be the focus of the enemy so if you feel you need extra insurance go for it. Guardian Angel can prove useful in the mid-late game teamfight if it's becoming overwhelming to survive certain champions. and build this item against champions like Nocturne and Rengar as in this is your only outplay to them along side using your Exhaust or Flash


Death's Dance
Build this item if you need the armor and magic resist stats it givse, or if their enemy team comp is filled with burst champions, or if you are in a huge lead and want to snowball the game and become even more unkillable. This item is not better than Bloodthirster in healing so only build it if you need the extra armor + magic resist


Phantom Dancer
A great item for Samira as it gives you a shield that is really helpful for Samira making it easier to pull off your ultimate in a teamfight without getting bursted down, however I do not see it as a better item than Essence Reaverbecause it gives attack speed which is not much needed on Samira, build this item if you want the extra shield + Crit. this item will get you to 75% crit which is the ideal place you want to be, however if you need more situational items you can skip Phantom Dancer.

Laning Phase


The laning phase is pretty simple with Samira as the difficult part about the champion will be knowing when to go in, out, and what kind of combo you'll want to use in the given situation. For laning always keep in mind of your range as well as your passive. Your 500 range means you'll get out-ranged and poked by a lot of match-ups, however, if you build up style you can use the extra movement speed to trade better and sneak in auto-attacks while they won't be able to hit you back and will have a harder time landing spells because you have higher movement speed, try to always punish mistakes by the enemy bot lane specially if they have 0 engages, if you see the Soraka stepping up without her ADC all in her by E'ing Wild Rush thru a minion to q Flair melee auto attack her.


Use your trading combo AA Q Flair AA to poke or to build up style, you can use just Q Flair if you cannot auto attack, also if you are pushed out of farming by the enemy bot lane try to farm using your Q's Flair range, just like how Ezreal does.

Your W Blade Whirl will be used offensively and defensively. try to save it until you need to use it, try dodging most skillshots only use your W Blade Whirl to a skillshot if you are certian you cannot dodge it, you can save it for vital moments when you think you'll get engaged on or you can use it when you decide to go in and fight them whether it's just a trade or a fully committed fight. Try using ur W Blade Whirl as your last style rank to get S so it can cancel it by your ultimate Inferno Trigger straight after that.

Remember that the W Blade Whirl will proc twice so if you want to build up style fast then you can W > E > Q > W (2nd proc) in one quick combo onto the enemy to get 4 Daredevil Impulse grades

E Wild Rush can be used in multiple ways in lane. You can use it on allies, any kind of minion, jungle camps, and enemy champions. The movement is similar to a yasuo E Sweeping Blade. While dashing with E Wild Rush you can press Q Flair and the Q Flair will follow along the path! You can dash onto an ally or minion to escape or dodge a skillshot. You can jump on an enemy minion that the enemy champion is hugging. Get creative with it and remember if you get a champion kill the E Wild Rush will reset! And never forget that you can use E Wild Rush Q Flair combo during your ultimate Inferno Trigger and your W Blade Whirl.

Lastly, once you get your ultimate, make sure all of your abilities are off-cooldown before committing to a fight as it is the best way to get your Daredevil Impulse grades up as fast as possible. You need 6 stacks of your passive/combo to unlock your ultimate so a simple combo to try out would be Auto > Q > W > E > Q > W then you're in close range of your enemy and can use your ultimate to finish them off!

Always be aware of your support's stuns, and follow up on it using your passive Daredevil Impulse to extend his stuns, the normal trading combo to follow up after your supp hits a stun is AA > E > Q > AA (Before you have your ult up) you can E Wild Rush thru a minion or your supp if you are not in range to E Wild Rush thru the enemy. As for after you get your ultimate Inferno Trigger you will need a combo that gurantee you to get your 6 passive stacks such as Auto > Q > W > E > Q > W, if you cannot activate both W Blade Whirl parts on your enemy then you will need to AA after this combo finishes.

Teamfighting + Mid-Late Game


I will focusing more on how to play teamfights, rather on how to play Samira meaning I wont be explaining combos in here I will be explaining how to get your self in a good position and a safe one in teamfighting etc..

Keep track of your style rating at all times so you know when you'll have your ultimate Inferno Trigger ready to use in the fight. As you get closer to unlocking your ultimate you'll want to get deeper into the action to let it rip, however make sure that the enemy team have used their stuns and they cannot stop your ultimate Inferno Trigger the moment you use it.

You can also use your E while you're ulting so you can dodge last second abilities with it and when you use your E Wild Rush you can also use Q Flair for extra damage even during your ultimate Inferno Trigger.

Once you used your ultimate once your style ranking will go back to E that means you'll want to be on the outer edge of the fight/kiting backwards and build up the “S” grade before going deep into the middle of the fights again, unless the enemy team is all low after you finish your ultimate Inferno Trigger then just finish them off.

When teamfight starts try only focusing on one person to do your combo on safely, after you finish your combo or you get close enough to S grade, try finding a good palce and time to ultimate, dont be afraid of holding your ultimate for a while to find the perfect spot.

When you're in the Mid-Late game the general factor to keep in mind is that you don't want to be alone, not always anyway.(UNLESS HARD FED) Do the typical ADC job of sticking with a teammate or two and farming up then playing for objectives. Having your team nearby will make it easier and more reliable to get off your combos for grades and overall be in a position to get a good fight. Samira is an ADC that can be alone often enough from my experience given the mobility of her passive as well as general kit, but it's not ideal compared to the opportunities you can take when you're with your team.

KEEP IN MIND: For all combos and regarding your passive in-general. To build up your grade and gain movement speed per grade as well as reaching S for your ultimate Inferno Trigger. You cannot use the same ability or auto attack more than once. You must constantly use a fresh attack after each one. However, using the same attack will refresh your timer, but will not add a new grade.



Tips for combo'ing.
  • Try to weave in auto attacks in between abilites, so you get to finsih your passive quickly and reach S grade.
  • Try to make the next thing you hit unique than the last thing you used so it gives you a passive grade.
  • Try to mostly pair up and use Q Flair with your E Wild Rush specially during Ws Blade Whirl and ultimates Inferno Trigger, only exception to this rule is when you want to weave in an auto attack in between your E and Q specially in early game when your Q Flair is on a higher cold down.
  • Hitting two opponents with E Wild Rush will count if you weave W Blade Whirl in between the E Wild Rush hits.
  • You can always try to auto attack Q Flair auto attack Q Flair in late game until you get S rank then hard engage with ultimate Inferno Trigger once you get it, this is the safest way to build up your style and its specially useful in late game teamfights.
  • Always try to harass with Q Flair before a teamfight starts if you are capable of doing so, not only will you deal damage but you will also keep your Style grades and not make them reset.
  • Dont use W Blade Whirl in the middle of the combo unless very if it was to cancel an upcoming projectile, as it will only delay you from doing and completing you combo fast. Best way to utilize your W Blade Whirl in your combos is by either using it as the final hit before reaching S grade to instantly get canceled by your ultimate Inferno Trigger or if you can pair it up with E+Q or just E to hit S right after your W Blade Whirl does it's second proc.


AA > Q > AA
This will be your main trading combo in lane, whenever you are doing a short trade do this. if you dont want it to be just a short trade you can instead do AA > E > Q > AA if you are looking for a kill or if they are low enough, this can work best if your first auto attack is the passive empowered knockup auto attack.



AA > E > AA > Q > AA > W > ULT
This is the best combo to use to get your ultimate the fastest in most situations, its also quite simple, just use an Auto Attack before every ability until you run out of abilites, depending on your situation you can switch in between the W Blade Whirl or the E Wild Rush or maybe use a Q Flair in the end instead of a W Blade Whirl, this gives you the just of it tho.



AA > W > E > Q > W (Second proc) > AA > ULT
This is the fastest combo to get your ultimate Inferno Trigger off however its very risky because it you would need to be in melee range to hit your first and second W Blade Whirl procs, you can make the combo much faster if you get to Q Flair before the first auto attack with this you will be in no need for the auto attack in the end so you would be able to just ultimate Inferno Trigger right after your W Blade Whirl second proc hits.
