Not Updated For Current Season
This guide has not yet been updated for the current season. Please keep this in mind while reading. You can see the most recently updated guides on the browse guides page
Practically useless early-game as long as you do not get harassed by his 'Q' - once at six, you should dive onto Karthus depending on your mana and his minions.
Xerath
As long as you stay wary of his ability range at all times, you should find the lane rather easy as Xerath lacks mobility in comparison to you.
Fizz
Poke Fizz post-six with your auto-attacks in order to get him to around half-health, poke each time Fizz goes for a creep kill. Once at six, if you all-in, make sure he has either wasted his ultimate or is out of mana as the match-up can be disadvantageous to you in that regard.
Brand
Can be very dangerous mid-game, although rather easy to harass due to his mobility, so take advantage of this and if you are to all-in, then assure yourself that you are able to take the kill as a Brand ahead of you can be a nightmare.
Vladimir
If played right, Vladimir can sustain himself enough to the point of you having to back off - play from range and farm under tower if you must - only use your 'E' when you know he has used his 'W.'
Malzahar
Punish him when he is alone, if he is pushed under tower, be wary of ganks as he will attempt to silence you with his ultimate for his jungler. Pre-six, do attempt to harass and force him to back, but do not play too aggressively.
Katarina
From experience, it is not a difficult match-up as long as you stay focused on where her daggers are placed, if she then ports to them, charm her instantly as to punish.
Veigar
Only attack Veigar when his 'E' is down, that is when you are at a major advantage.
Kassadin
Try to kill pre-six as Kassadin hits a power spike when his ultimate is up because of his mobility and overall damage. If you were to poke him to his tower, he will struggle in getting creep kills.
Aurelion Sol
He is not a problem until under tower because of his ultimate, overall, you have the advantage in general if you continue to harass with 'Q.'
Lux
Has high crowd control capability, only engage if her 'Q' is down in order to maximise kill potential.
Talon
Dangerous early-game and most likely will force you under tower, but considering he has minimal range, poke him with auto-attacks and keep up with his creep kills to stay at a level playing field.
Syndra
This is a pure skill match-up, early-game she will have the advantage due to her burst so do not engage until six. Considering she is mana-heavy, allow her to drain mana overtime before engaging with 'E' and possibly ignite for the kill.
Ekko
Again, similar to Syndra, a skill based match-up. As long as you can secure early kills, you should be able to take over the lane rather easily.
Orianna
An easy lane if you out-harass her, as you can dive her rather easily due to her lack of mobility.
Akali
Potentially dangerous, you are most likely going to be pushed to tower as of a result of her 'Q' poke. To win this lane, only engage once her 'W' has been placed to follow up on your 'E' - at this time, you should take full advantage by using your abilities in succession; W-R-Q-E-R (post-six). Due to 'Ultimate Hat', you will eventually out-trade Akali because of the low cooldown on your R.
Azir
Avoid his soldiers at all costs, only all-in if you have your R and know your kill potential.
Zed
Each time Zed uses his 'Q' onto you, make sure to trade back, especially by using your 'Q' through minions onto him to push your lane. A Zed will struggle to dive you rush Zhonya's Hourglass, so instead of the typically Morellonomic first item, buy that initially (Safeguard).
