about hextech i still think its a big waste of money and a real big delay on our damage.
Ditch GA and Liandry's for DFG and Void Staff. Ahri does a billion damage and you should not be wasting that potential. Grab haunting guise early on to get laning power, but upgrading it to Liandry's is a gigantic waste of a slot, especially on a burst mage like Ahri.
Her passive is also far from "mediocre sustain"; you will often get more than 1/3 of your health back from one good Q.
Your guide does seem well-written otherwise, minus some explanations I personally disagree with. Will vote later if you ever update this thing.
You shouldn't start with Boots and 3x Health Potion, unless you have someone like Brand against you. When they added base movement speed, they made some more starting choices, which makes your laning soo much easier. I think that even 9x Health Potion and 2x Sight ward would be better starting, because it's league of sustain.
Also, when you say that it is not worth getting Hextech Revolver, do you mean that it isn't worth to pick up early game, or in the whole game? Will of the Ancients is pretty damn good item for someone like Ahri because she needs some sustain other than that Rylai's Crystal Scepter. Also, Lich Bane is pretty good item as well, you only need to have some AP. You do cast your spells a lot in teamfights and duels, and getting that 200-500 damage every three seconds from Lich Bane is pretty much worth it.
