I'm playing LoL since the end of season 4(october, 2014). I had 3 accounts in league: Ultron9000, Amanda Pinheiros and deixa akali open(wich is my actual account)
I became a main Akali since her rework and I also became top 500 brazillian players of akali in league of graphs few months ago :D
I stopped for a while with league and I dropped to #1372 pos with akali(top 3.3%) in Brazil server, but I returned to play and I jumped from silver 4 to gold 1 with my akali(even if she is hard nerfed)

I decided to make this guide to you, who wants to know how to play properly with akali but don't want to be a casual akali player.

Decidi fazer esse guia pra você, que quer aprender a jogar de akali também mas não quer ficar só como um jogador casual de akali.

Passive: Assassin's Mark

Akali's ability damage against enemy champions creates a 500-unit ring around them for 4 seconds and grants her 40 / 50 / 60 / 70% (based on level) bonus movement speed for 2 seconds while moving away from them.

When Akali leaves the ring, she regains the bonus movement speed towards enemy champions for 2 seconds and gains Swinging Kama for 4 seconds.

SWINGING KAMA: Akali's next basic attack range is doubled, deals 39 − 180 (based on level) (+ 60% bonus AD) (+ 50% AP) bonus magic damage and restores 10 / 15 / 20 (based on level) energy.

Q: Five Point Strike

TARGET RANGE: 500
COST: 100 / 95 / 90 / 85 / 80 ENERGY
COOLDOWN: 1.5

ACTIVE: Akali throws a flurry of kunais in the target direction, dealing 25 / 50 / 75 / 100 / 125 (+ 65% AD) (+ 60% AP) magic damage to enemies hit. Enemies hit at maximum range are also slowed by 50% for 0.5 seconds.

At rank 5, deals 166.25 (+ 86.45% AD) (+ 79.8% AP) total magic damage to minions and monsters.

W: Twilight Shroud

TARGET RANGE: 250
COOLDOWN: 20

ACTIVE: Akali restores 80 energy and detonates a smoke bomb in the target direction, creating a circular shroud that expands over the next 5 seconds into a ring and lasts 5 / 5.5 / 6 / 6.5 / 7 seconds. The shroud does not permeate terrain.
Entering the shroud renders Akali invisibility and grants her 20 / 25 / 30 / 35 / 40% bonus movement speed.
Akali's basic attacks and abilities will break the invisibility for 1 second.

E: Shuriken Flip

TARGET RANGE: 650 / GLOBAL
COST: 30 ENERGY
COOLDOWN: 16 / 14.5 / 13 / 11.5 / 10

FIRST ACTIVE: Akali flips backward and fires a shuriken forward, stopping with the first enemy hit and dealing 40 / 70 / 100 / 130 / 160 (+ 35% AD) (+ 50% AP) physical damage.

The shuriken marks the enemy or the last Twilight Shroud smoke section hit for 3 seconds. While the target is marked, Akali can reactivate Shuriken Flip.

SECOND ACTIVE: Akali dashes towards the marked target, consuming the mark, regardless of distance. Against enemies deals the same physical damage.

R: Perfect Execution

TARGET RANGE: 575 / 750
COOLDOWN: 160 / 130 / 100

FIRST ACTIVE: Akali dashes in the target direction, dealing 85 / 150 / 215 (+ 50% bonus AD) physical damage to all enemies hit.

After 2.5 seconds, Perfect Execution can be reactivated within the following 7.5 seconds.

SECOND ACTIVE: Akali dashes in the target direction, dealing 65 / 140 / 215 (+ 30% AP) magic damage to enemies hit, increasing by 0% − 200% (based on target's missing health).

Spells options(always use flash with):

Useful in most of match-ups. Ensures you a very useful extra-damage in a fight
Useful in toplane or against match-ups you can't fight solo and need to farm a lot

Runes:

Agressive Tree

Eletrocute:

Great option for agressive laning. Q, Passive, Q is the main combo to activate it.


Sudden Impact:
Literally a core rune. Akali is based on dashes and this will give you a great buff


Eyeball Collecion:
Just a rune for snowball. You can switch for the ward runes if you want.


Ultimate Hunter:
After the last cooldown nerf in Akali's R, this rune is a better option than Ravenous Hunter.


Legend: Alacrity:
Very useful if you don't have the perfect timing to reset passive's auto-attack with Q. Sometimes you will use Passive + Q and you can cast Q before you can hit with the Passive.


Coup de Grace:
It matches with the damage scaling of the second activation of the R.

Defensive Tree

Fleet Footwork:
Very useful sustain option. With a few hits you can heal the same of a health potion.


Triumph:
You will take a lot of damage while fighting. After you kill someone, this will give you a little sustein. It can saves you from dying by a ignite your enemy casted in you before his death.


Legend: Alacrity:
Very useful if you don't have the perfect timing to reset passive's auto-attack with Q. Sometimes you will use Passive + Q and you can cast Q before you can hit with the Passive.


Coup de Grace:
It matches with the damage scaling of the second activation of the R.


Sudden Impact:
Literally a core rune. Akali is based on dashes and this will give you a great buff


Ultimate Hunter:
After the last cooldown nerf in Akali's R, this rune is a better option than Ravenous Hunter.

This is the most basic combo. It will use all your energy on the first levels but ensures you a high damage and activates the electrocute.

This is a extended version from the previous combo. When you run out of energy, just use your smoke and you will recover it. Then you continue to use Q and Passive.

This one is my favorite. It will gives you a mega burst and you can choose if you will return with the shuriken or just keep distance. It's the perfect balanced combo between attack and defense.

This is a very quick assassin combo. You can join a fight with this, delete the enemy ADC and get out really quick.

This is the MOST HARD COMBO EVER. You will position yourself in front of one of the minions(a full life minion) and you will cast your E in this minion, but you need to do that doing the "mini-dash" from E in the direction of your enemy. After that you will have only FOUR SECONDS to cast your Q, get your Passive, then you will active the Twilight Shroud while you run toward your enemy and cast the basic attack with the Passive + Q and you will cast E again and go back to the minion. You have to do that before the 4 seconds of the second cast of your shuriken expires.

You can mix some parts of the combos here to improve your damage, like using the hextec gunblade with the first or third combo.

Here are some tricks for the Akali.

You can cast Flash in the middle of most dash skills.
You can cast R + Flash and change the place you will land after the dash. You can also use R and Flash while the second cast of E.


You can also use your E as a mini-dash if you don't have enough range to hit the enemy with the shuriken.


Akali is a VERY FRAGILE assassin, so take care at literally every step you do in the game. If you slip a little bit, you are in trouble. Don't run out of Energy by farming when a enemy is with you in the lane.

After you buy the Hextec Revolver, you will probably clear the mage minions in 2 Qs and the warrior minions in 3 Qs


If you are using the defensive runes, you can calm down and farm more freely because you will always have the sustein from Fleet Footwork.

While roaming, you can go BOT or MID just after get level 6. Don't forget to carry a control ward to gank the botlane on stealth.

This is the basic. Akali is a champion where you need to be smart and tricksy. Your main objective is to hit your combo's in your enemy and stay safe whatever it costs.
