Why Alistar?
Alistar is a great champ to go assasin build with because of he's natural built in sustain who let him take huge amounts of dmg AND burst enemies like other ap assasins.
Also, alistar engages are great for team fights because of he's build in sustain he doesn't have to count on he's tanks to tank him.

Combos
Ur main traiding combo is pressing W - Q - AA to proc elec and walk away.
Another trading combo for melee champs who come near u to trade is - Q - AA - W
All in combo - W - Q - AA - Ignite - E - R - AA (Proc E)

Why crit?
I tested both builds and crit is the best way to play alistar dmg wise, because most of ur dmg found in elec and the E proc.
