Introduction
In this guide we will be covering the process of filling two roles: Main Tank and Jungler.
As a main tank, it is your job to make sure that the rest of your team stays alive.
As a jungler, your job is is to farm as much as possible, watch lanes and gank.
The build above focuses on magic resist, armor and health. These are your primary tank stats. We also get some extra stuff like banshees spell shield, cc reduction and sunfire's damage aura.
As a tank, you need to be flexible with your build to counter the damage being outputted by the enemy team.
This build is intended for balanced teams:
With this build you have amazing armor and magic resist, making you nearly impossible to kill.
you also get a good amount of health regen (end game), allowing you to stay out longer. The best part is that the build is pretty cheap. Plus we are adding a good bit of additional AoE aura damage with Sunfire and Thornmail.

Tank it up!
Save squishies, cc enemies and deal aura damage.
You are very beefy, so it is OK for you to jump in front of missile attacks (i.e. Mystic Shot and Cait's ult) when they would otherwise pwn a squishy behind you.
In team fights, you should position yourself front and center to make the enemy team fearful of just running in and attacking your squshies. Amumu is very scary because of his ability to trap entire teams, causing total confusion and dealing a good bit of damage with auras.
Keep your bandage toss handy to catch fleeing enemies or to stop enemies from killing a squishy. Keep your Dispair toggled on throughout the entire team fight and use tantrum on cooldown (because it lowers the enemies magic resist).
Remember though, you are a tank first! Do NOT take the killing blows and don't focus on dealing a lot of damage, as you will be doing plenty just by being in the area. The best tank score is 0/low/high. It is your job to save your squishy friends and let them get fed.. the more fed they are, the easier your job becomes. Besides, Amumu can farm like crazy.

Your jungling, so you should be ganking...
Good news though! this is really easy with Amumu.
First find a lane that needs a gank or a gank is likely to succeed.
Next make sure you have enough health to do it (at least half, better to have 3/4).
Then simply hide in the bush and wait for the opportunity to toss those nasty lil bandages for the stun (be sure to ping your target at least 4 seconds before you engage).
Lastly, hand the friendly person laning a kill.
