Threats & Synergies
Caitlyn's long range is really troublesome for Xayah due to her short range, but the matchup is not doomed as she's quite squishy.
Ashe's slow can be brutal for positioning and her R can be fatal if you don't dodge it or counter with your R.
Ezreal is a safe laner, and can easily escape with his E. Fortunately Klepto has been removed from the game, making Ezreal practically unplayable. Watchout for his Q spam early game and you won't struggle against him.
Draven is an easy matchup, as they both share similar ranges and Xayah can root Draven to counter his axes. The only threat Draven has is if he comes out of laning phase fed. Watchout for ganks and it's easy GG
Jinx is quite a threat, as she's a really good laner and can deal out huge damage with a proper support. Try to avoid letting Jinx get too much of a lead, since she only requires time to become useful/ a threat.
Jhin is a massive counter to Xayah with his high damage, long range, and movement speed from his 4th shot. Try to play more passively against Jhin to avoid being stomped in lane
Kai'Sa is definitely a top tier ADC, but her short range is a large setback in this matchup, since Xayah's root stops Kai'Sa being able to maneuver around for isolated Qs.
Kalista, while currently being a low tier ADC, is able to out-maneuver Xayah's feather easily with her jumps. But Kalista is still quite underpowered in her current state, thus it should be a relatively easy lane to win.
Lucian excels in early game damage and his mobility can make rooting him hard. Play smart to avoid being chunked and you should have a smooth laning phase.
MF is currently a great ADC and the 5 dorans blade build is deceptively good, but the build sacrifices the mid-late game, so you should easily out scale her if you don't lose.
Sivir has really good wave clear but is very underpowered in the meta. Xayah's Q can break her spell shield twice, and root would be easy to land after baiting it out.
Twitch is weak before he hits level 6, so make sure to shut him down before he is able to hit his power spike.
Varus should be an easy lane if you're good at dodging his Q and ult, and Xayah's root is great against Varus who lacks mobility outside of summs
Similar to twitch, her level 6 invis is troublesome but still counterable with some guesswork or patience.
Xayah's root can easily counter Xayah's root which can easily counter Xayah's root which can easily counter Xayah's root. Use your Ult to dodge a fatal root and watchout for opportunities to flame the enemy Xayah.
This is a no brainer if possible since Xayah and Rakan is designed to be stronger played together.
Listen man anyone with CC and/or shielding is going to work great with Xayah. Just make sure they're not autofilled and you're good to go.
Champion Build Guide
Everytime Xayah casts a spell, she gains 3 feathers that shoot out in a line whenever you auto attack, leaving a feather in the ground for 6 seconds. Xayah stores up to 5 feathers that goes away after 8 seconds of not attacking. Xayah can also recall with rakan
Xayah shoots out 2 feathers in a line, dealing reduced damage after the first target hit.
Xayah gains a buff that increases her attack speed and her autoattacks deal additional damage equal to a percentage of damage dealt in a separate attack. She also gains increased movement speed when she hits a champion with the buff active. This ability is also activated on Rakan if he is nearby when Xayah casts the spell.
Xayah calls back all feathers out on the field, dealing damage to enemies they pass through on the way. If a Champion is hit by more than 3 feathers, they are rooted for 1 second.
Xayah becomes untargetable for a moment and throws out 5 feathers in a cone, damaging any champions hit.
Xayah's damage actually comes mostly from landing a large E and her W. Her W is actually a huge source of damage late game and should be used when starting a fight for the maximum amount of damage.
Essence Reaver allows for spamming of Xayah's abilities without mana issues, and the AD it provides works well with Xayah's scalings
Infinity Edge increases crit damage by 25%, which also scales with her E, giving her more damage
RFC is built to help cope with Xayah's lack of range, giving her that extra little range to get in one last hit or deal damage from safety
Standard ADC tier 2 shoes
Runann's Hurricane helps deal more damage in teamfights, furthermore Xayah's W also applies on the split bolts
No brainer for assassins that can burst you before you can root them, or to counter "lag" that just so happened to occur when the 1/16/3 Twitch outplayed you
QSS is a must have when you find yourself CC chain'd into the next dimension, and helps you escape those risky situations
Great sustain and overheal shield
Extra chase, a shield for when you're low, extra crit
Magic shield that more often than not saves you from a teemo shroom
Last Whisper Item
Armor Penetration for tanks stacking armor or a fed healer
energized item that synergizes well with statikk and RFC, and provides a slow for the chase potential.
A quick root combo, use this if you're starting the fight, or following up on a CC chain.
lots of damage, and it's good for teamfights where you're looking for the quick combo to sneaking in more damage
The all in. only use your W once you're in range so you don't waste any of the duration. line up your feathers so your target gets hit by as many as possible for maximum damage.
